I need help ps3 Affected by RSOD

method FSM mode on 3.55 downgrade Please ?

Minimum downgrade firmware is 3.40
Read the psdevwiki page
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Remarry_Bluray_Drive

I already posted the links to both the 3.55 remarry & the FSM archive files in earlier posts.

It's possible to do it in 3.40 as well but you need another set of remarry files (which I have if ever you want it) however there's no need. 3.55 will do just fine.

So after doing the downgrade to 3:55, I eseguido the dehash procedure and I installed the 3:55 noBD noRSOD.

So I did the remarrying with the old method.

remarrying succeeded BD now law.
Before leaving the FSM insert the Blu-ray movies,
Error: this video connot be played 800299AA?
I leave the FSM

I prepare everything to make the Fix Rsod through FactoryServiceMode_Lv2diag_RSOD.self

I perform the procedure psdevwiki

Result rsodfix.txt:

Code:
+============================+

 RSODfix lv2diag tool

+============================+
trm initialize starting ...
trm initialize finished ...
product mode disable starting ...
SUCCESS: read EPROM
SUCCESS: wrote to EPROM
SUCCESS: read EPROM
product mode disable finished ...
SUCCESS: rebooting ...

So I install CFW 3.55.4 REX Normal

Ps3 reboot appears for a moment XMB

reappears RSOD

F%$# !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creado is a hardware problem !!!!!!!!

Solution:

Prepare a MFWBUILDER Rebug 4.80.1 By REX Path noBD and noRSOD

Upgrade to it.

If your bd is married, you don't need nobd patches, probably only bd movie playback is broken for now. So just try replacing your nor flash or use the e3 flasher. You can use the nor flash on the flasher with dualboot setup.

That's the easiest solution without resoldering the nor flash I can think of although no one has confirmed this method yet

Nor Flash already replaced with an identical, previously.

I also noticed that the game saves are corrupt.

Since we do not know the history of this playstation is what they did.

I believe it is to be considered for replacement parts, not usable.

I wonder what can cause corruption of cvtrm, ee RSOD.

I have no clue, I get RSOD over recovering countless bricks, and I always was able to fix RSOD via homebrew method [the one that released by @haxxxen]

for the hardware issue, I can't think of anything other than bad nor flash.

Anyways, if you replaced it already with the "same" one, try different brand or that e3 flasher method I mentioned.

you can fix in manual flash or nor. ?

Or I can try to install linux?

If you can install Linux, you tell me the correct procedure for non brick, since I RSOD.

A Second question about another play this functioning is 100% my own?

I lost the ability to see the Blu-ray.
Probably a downgrade in the past that or done.
I have deleted the entire folder "data-revoke" the restored I tried to do the procedure multiMAN, have failed to restore.

I also used DRLGen taking MKB_RO by a blue-ray movies.

I also tried to access via telnet myps3ip 8080 to multiMAN and use rcp

When I use the command Multiman> rcp sha1 crl, I will wait.

@aldostools
it would be possible to implement the commands rcp or those ps3dm linus in cobra 7.3, or webMan

Thank you so much

Sorry but I don't have experience with these commands. Although webMAN is a multi-functional plugin, this kind of functions are more related to tools like rebug toolbox or maybe CFW Tools plugin (Mysis' xai_plugin). So they are out of the intended scope of webMAN.

You can always dump the nor with multiman
Replace the cvtrm areas with the cvtrm area taken from another console
Reboot
Enter fsm
Use the exit fsm RSOD lv2 and it should now re-write the cvtrm areas fixing the RSOD

I e3 Flasher.
I Dump the console with cvtrm incorrect and other functional console.

I have to take Dump the faulty console and replace with a Hex Editor offset address relative to cvtrm area.

I wonder I have to rewrite Nor, with E3 Flasher or I can rewrite it to Ps3.

If not too much to ask, what are the offset addresses of start and end of cvtrm area to replace.

I have to use a dump on the same version Cech 2004b or on the motherboard dyn-001?

Thank you very much

No do not use cvtrm from other consoles, ps3 itself can reconstruct the cvtrm area as you update the firmware or call function via lv2 kernel, which can be done by the rsod fix homebrew or lv2diag self method

hi there. what's up... :)

just wanted to chime in and give my opinion about this.

first off, there is only one way to fix rsod and it doesn't matter which way you choose, either homebrew/linux, or fsm way. with homebrew/linux, there is only the check for fsm disabled, nothing more.

and another note, i only was able to fix rsod with that fsm tool with notheros and no other one. maybe it depends on models or it is just me?

and on second note, fixing it with linux has lasted a little longer than the other ways. at least this was my (i think honest) feeling back then.
what i would try is to delete all trophies (manually or debug option). on my tests, this will reset also cvtrm region and deletes 2nd region. i had not done any further tests, cause i had no rsod console when i realized this behaviour.

oh, @Joonie. this tip about e3flasher nor (when the error is persistent) is the best thing one could do in the end in my opinion.

I used the RSOD Fix method failed.
I used the method Through lv2diag.self_RSOD
apparently rewrites vrtm then instead install the firmware it is RSOD reappears.

@smikk

I don't know what you did exactly, what I suggested was, to make the dualboot setup with E3 flasher, and copy your original NOR dump to the one on E3 flasher [probably Spansion NOR], then install RSOD bypassed CFW, either 3.55 or any 4.xx, then try rsod fix pkg that @haxxxen released.

SAMSUNG NOR on 200X and HL models seem to have RSOD a lot, at least from scene reports from various forums.

and their solution was to replace it with MXIC [Macronix] or Spansion NOR.

Good thing every E3 Flasher comes with Spansion NOR, so you can try use that.

@haxxxen Hi there, haven't seen you while, I've been using E3's NOR ever since I heard about NOR flash being the cause of RSOD.

explain the steps to do with method you described:

FW notheos need to fix Rsod or can be installed just as it is

Files necessary to perform the procedure.

A note actually with rebug patch Rsod made by me I have problems with the games because it can not save the trophies, the bailouts are corrupt.
There are solutions to solve the problem, or we are faced with a brick that you start.

There's a way to avoid save/trophy issues with games.

1. Enable Fake Save Data Owner
2. Unlock all the offline Trophies

then games wouldn't freeze while handling save/trophy data, because they are related to cvtrm area [per console]

I will not use E3 flasher for fear of damaging it.

Counque explain the procedure step by step I will evaluate.

Else I can replace current Nor with Spansion I have on a card with video card route, it rewrites it with the dump done with e3flasher the ps3 with RSOD?

Or are you like the dump is corrupt, nor the will result anch it hurts.

You can rebuild the dump with another that acts as a donor.

Thank you very much

I bricked more than 300 times on my NOR on E3 flasher, don't worry about it's being damaged, anyways

you just need to use whatever NOR dump that's available to use with RSOD bypassed CFW, then initiate the fixing process via lv2diag OR RSOD homebrew, I wouldn't recommend linux method since you will need a lot more time researching how to get that setup unless you're just curious about it.

I think that he thinks he needs to physically adapt the e3 flasher
I don't think he realises you can dual boot to the flasher
