PS3HEN I need the TROPHY.TRP file.

I need the TROPHY.TRP file for the game Jak 2 Renegade because I accidentally deleted the trophy file and the game refuses to start because it shows that there is an error reading the trophies information. I didn't have that before

P. S Please send the file to the game Jak 2 Renegade (NPEA00339)

Simply delete the game's trophy folder, rebuild the database and launch the game again. The trophies will reinstall.

If he will delete NPEA00339 folder, he will delete the game and need to install it again. He want rather avoid it if he didn't do it yet.

I think You mislead it with cache of disc games because they also throws its folder to "dev_hdd0/game/". But he have digital version, so whole the game is put there, not only cache, patches and DLC.

I believe, disc TRP files are the same as with digital distributed games (they share same NPWR ID), so he in theory he should be able also use TROPHY.TRP from disc version.

Yes indeed. I was thinking about the trophy folder of said game (where the TROPHY.TRP file lives) inside /dev_hdd0/home/xxxxxxxx/trophy folder but didn't explain myself correctly. Everything trophy related goes there, digital and physical games, and the structure is the same.

By deleting the corresponding trophy folder for the game, rebuilding the database and launching the game again it will install the trophy data again.

He don't want user trophy folder but game trophy installer. ;) When game is launching, file called "$gamedir/TRP/TROPHY.TRP" (I'm not sure if this is correct path) is unpacking to "dev_hdd0/home/<user number>/trophy/<NPWR ID>/" and registered to user global trophy index.

He said that he deleted this file, so game cannot find trophy set and abort.

If you delete that folder and run the game, it will reinstall itself. As the game is digital, you need to unpack it first somehow in order to retrieve that single file.

  • If You delete unpacked trophy set in user dir, the only consequence will be missing data in the index, which can be fixed by running this game again.
  • If You delete trophy set in game dir, game will not launch. And that's why author of this thread, want this file. And he don't have the package or else he will already unpack this one file and place where it should be. ;)

I suspect that I have a virus because there is a strange file called ____Lock in the file of this game, so I deleted it and restarted the game but it did not work, so I re-enter and look and the file is created again

How could You accidentally delete TROPHY.TRP for two games? If You do not want see trophy notifications, just turn them off in XMB settings. ;)

There is no known viruses for PS3. As there is also no reason to create any. There are few spyware distributed mostly as online game mods but that's all.

I didn't want it to give me trophies

Then turn off notifications in XMB and at least You will not see them. Currently there is no other way.

Maybe, just maybe another solution would be changing trophy dir permissions but it is just blind shot.
