Hello everyone, I just joined psx place.

I stopped using my ps3 a few years ago. I was only watching netflix and youtube on it.
Now I'm back in the game, I just bought a nep PSID and intalled with IDPSSET.

So, I want to know what's new around here. For example, what is HEN? IS the Rebug CFW still good? What are the apps that will keep me away from being banned, PSNINJA?

TLDR.: Please, give me links from the forum that would UPDATE me about cfw, homebrews, etc.

Thanks a lot.

PS3HEN brings homebrew support to non-CFW compatible PS3 models. Since you already have CFW, you don't need to bother with it as CFW can do a lot more than HEN (Homebrew ENabler).

Rebug CFW is probably the most popular around here, and without a doubt has the most features. Rebug 4.84.2 REX is the current up to date version.

PSNinja is outdated and and has been superseded by PSNpatch and SEN Enabler. Use one or the other, but not both. Even with PSNpatch or SEN Enabler, there is no guarantee you won't get a ban. Hope this answers a few of your questions.

Edit: Moved to General PS3 forum for more exposure so more people can weigh in with opinions and suggestions.

other than being one with the most features,at least in my experience (that's maybe not so rellevabt because i have cechc with broken bd) rebug is the most polished one.

Thank you so much, it was a perfect answer. I'm gonna download sen enabler and PSNpatch right now. This forum is great, I'm just reading everything I can.

No problem. I also have both installed, and have used both but never use both at once as it will not add an extra layer of protection. Imagine like running two anti-virus programs at once; they can conflict with one another and end up doing more harm than good.
The occasional times I sign in to PSN, I generally use PSNpatch to clear syscalls and CFW history.

While I'm online, I behave as if my console is on OFW and I would say this is good advice to help fly under the radar and reduce your chances of an account and/or console ban as you apparently had already.
