Hello, I'm trying to jailbreak my PS3 so I can download and play some games. I'm a total noob with PS3 hacking (not hacking in general), and I'm wondering what the best course of action is here.
I have a Slim PS3 with model number 250A4 and firmware version 4.80.
I'm following this:
tutorial.
When I browse to **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) I get the message that my firmware version isn't supported, I think only 4.82 and upwards is supported.
So is it safe to upgrade to version 4.86 by updating from the PS3 itself in the settings menu or will I do irreversible damage? I know that updating can sometimes screw you up so that's why I'm asking.
I hope someone can help me because I'm a little confused what to look for.
