Merry Christmas!
I got a few Playstation images to run on pcsxr/Linux. Two of them run, but four won't run. It says:
"The CD does not appear to be a valid Playstation CD."
I can mount the images and they seem to contain what they are expected to contain.
Upon research, the only tip I found that seemed to be promising was this:
"Open AcetoneISO, click Image Conversion --> Generate ISO from CD/DVD and it is: --> a Playstation 1 Game
The above will create a .bin file which you can open with PCSX."
I burned one of the images and tried to convert it in Acetone, but then Acetone can't seem to get along with my CD drive or something:
Process Error Code: 1
Did you insert correct CD/DVD device?
When I try to run that convertion, there is a pop-up where I am supposedd to fill in my CD drive. By default, it expects /dev/cdrom, but I saw that I had /dev/sr0 mounted on /media/cdrom0. Well, I tried /dev/sr0 mounted, then /media/cdrom0,, and even the default /dev/cdrom, and I still got the same error message over and over.
Anyone here has any experience with this and can help?
TIA
