Improper patch

I'm already pretty upset. I'm only going to be able to afford a flasher untill next year, and a repair could be costly

Don't let it get you too upset yet bud it's still fixable with the right tools.

It doesn't matter at the moment. My PS3 is donzo. All stores I emailed rejected, and I won't have the money for a while.
