PS3 Install pkgs with HAN

Hi so I'm curious, can I install a pkg/rap using HAN? And if so how do I install HAN. (Asking for a friend who doesn't want to get HEN
 
HAN no longer exists for any PS3 Software version above 4.84. They figured with how advanced HEN was becoming, it was kind of pointless to keep updating the etHANol project. They planned on updating it to make it compatible with 4.89 last year but it never ended up happening. And I feel for you, I preferred HAN over HEN any day of the week. Luckily, HEN is finally at the level that HAN was
 
If you're using HAN, PKG files eg. PSN titles can be installed as usual. However, installing RAP files requires you to obtain 2 things: idps.hex and act.dat file which is generated from PSN-activated account. Then, these files need to be used with Habib's PS3Xploit resigner tool to resign RAP files into RIF file and packaging RIF files into PKG file.

HAN exist on 4.89 and previous versions too.

Yes you can, you need to convert the .rap with psxploit resigner and you can install both the game and .rif in pkg container.

No, those are official, made by people from here psx-place. If you get the files from here, everything is ok. Even the ps3xploit site updated the data about HA up to 4.88.
