installing cfw evilnat 4.91 problem after accidental sony update

If you've already lost your saves and whatnot, I'd go ahead and initialize it, then format on the system. If you still have content you'd like to save, don't initialize. Plug in a different HDD to format, install cfw, then get the erk. Use @Berion 's guide to get the important files from your old hdd.

it wont format when i put in ps3, rebuild database and file system just says it cant and restarts as well, takes me too select start update option

sounds like the hdd has failed or something. I'd check it on your pc.
