PS3 Internet Browser problems

You activate the exploit in toolset once, it stays activated permanently. This activated exploit then allows you to install any custom firmware you want to install. You can also go back to official firmware again, if you want to (for example if there is any problem with the firmware), and then install another custom firmware.

That's not how it works. If you ever install OFW over any CFW, for whatever reason, you must run the exploit again in order to be able to reinstall CFW. And you can only install a CFW of the same version or above than the current OFW version installed.

The only way to install any CFW version is by having enabled the QA flags, and checking that you don't install a version that's less than min. factory FW.

I've done this multiple times. Just go to the recovery menu and install CFW over OFW, no need to toggle the exploit again. And yes, you can't downgrade that way, true.

Again, that's not how it works. It's impossible to install CFW over OFW without having the console exploited first. If you install OFW, you lose the exploit.

Always was, always has been.

I got my custom firmware back by following this tutorial

I hope this helps someone who had the same probable as me :) :encouragement:

Thanks. I just got a PS3 Phat that was on HEN, this worked like a charm to get to EvilNAT. Don't ask me why it was on HEN, the guy who sold it to me was pretty weird.

Hey all, first time posting here, and I come with an issue, when I tried to enter on the ps3xploit site to install HEN I get this error: "This page cannot be displayed (80710a06)"
I had the same experience and I still haven't managed to fix it. However I jailbreaked my ps3 using and alternative method via the Aldostools flashwriter
