PS3 Is it possible to flash ofw over cfw?

Hello! I'm quite new to the ps3 scene and i just bought one and not so sure is it cfw or ofw.. One thing for sure there's no package installer nor that i can open mmCM (yes it has multiman)

I bought this system used and was wondering if i can use hfw by installing 4.85 ofw first..

If i try to install/update to 4.85 ofw will the system brick? Kinda scared atm.

Yes you can install ofw anytime. No risk whatsoever, what is the console model? Cech? You can always rexploit the console if it is cfw compatible, if not you can use hen.

Oh i see.. I guess the model number is CECH-30XX from what i saw on the serial number.. (Also the ps name is ps306)

I don't wanna use cfw, cause i don't really understand the system yet... So i guess hfw is much safer option?

You're safe to install OFW back and then install HFW + PS3HEN, your console model is not allowed to have CFW installed (if you were to patch flash in order to allow CFW update, you will brick your console!)
