PS3 Issues converting PSX PAL Game to PS3

I have Puchi Carat from Europe and i wanted to convert it to a PKG. I tried using PSX2PSP, IceTea, and Impaler then Fix EBOOT.PBP and TrueAncestor to make the package and every time i get to a black screen but can access the Impose menu to exit. One time i got it to "work" but it was running way to fast

I know my BIN/CUE are good becuase i have used PSX2PSP to put it on my PS Vita and New 3DS XL

Is there a new more streamline meathod or is there specific fixes i have to do for PAL games

Im running Evilnat 4.88, wanted to use Rebug but all links are dead

Have had this issue as well with some PAL games that aren't in the US like Hell Night. Own the disc but wouldn't boot due to region lock on PS1/PS2 so I tried to make a PKG but alas it ran fast. The only remedy I found for this was to find a NTSC patch for those games. Not ideal but works great if you can find patch for said game.

Yes but forcing 480 causes the speed up and some like myself do not have a 576i complaint TV. Which for some like myself the patches takes care of the issue. I am assuming since he has made PSX games for Vita & Switch I assumed he has already tried this. Either way hope you get it sorted.

1. The most recent Rebug CFWs (4.84+) releases can be found on archive.org (search for "Rebug") in both torrent & standard PUP file download.

2. There are plenty of URLs (to Rebug PUP files) that are still working all over this forum, members shared entire folders of their pup backups on Mega, Mediafire, Dropbox etc.., you just need to search.

3. There is also the PS firmware repository at https://darthsternie.net/
Rebug CFWs should be available at https://darthsternie.net/ps3-cfws/

The patches are forcing the NTSC mode too, so the speed up problems will be present as well. If the game does utilise the PAL resolution, then some pixels will be lost, because of the less resolution in the NTSC mode.

Not to mention the old PAL/NTSC selectors will not work properly with the PS3, because the video mode is set up only once during the initialisation of emulator.

My "collection" is only Hell Night for the PS1 so my knowledge is limited to this one game as Atlus only did the Euro version in English. I collect all Atlus & FromSoftware titles.

The only way I could get this one working "right' was patching it before hand. There isn't a selector as I haven't had any luck with trainers or anything patched this way.

Hopefully he gets it sorted out. He is also a new user trying to get a grasp of what's going on. But please check the wiki or use the search function as I'm sure it will yield faster results. Not a lot of "new" issues arise these days.

I have been able ti get it to run perfectly fine if i load the disk with webman and all but i have OCD and like i need it to be a simple app on the XMB and just launch in. I used some webman shortcut generator but that would open and only mount the disk and i have to manually go and launch it that and it marked it as PS3 (i know petty of me)
