Nope, ps3 is limited to first gen sata controllers so You would only get a maximum of 1.5Gbps transfer speed,
In short all that ssd speed is wasted because of its limitations & ALSO you won't see any increase in frames. (unless u had a bad hdd from the start)
All you might see is significant increase in loading times.
Better off with an 7200rpm drive than an ssd.
You could take that ssd of yours & throw it in your pc now.. it would be much better if you use your pc regularly.
7200RPM HDD? What was that?...Don't want spend more bucks on slower disks.
I had been using this on PS3 since then, some games saw a huge performance increase when using SSD especially GT5 where it took looooooooooooonger time to load it!
