I contacted a professional technician to re-solder the missing capacitor. When I got home, I cleaned the remaining parts and replaced all the thermal pads (using Thermalright Extreme Odyssey II).
I installed FHDB on a 3.5-inch drive (using HDD Raw Copy Tool). I have original Sony Network Adapter. The device fan runs at full speed from startup. (I learned that this is to cool the drive on SCPH-3900X models). The already noisy SCPH-39003 fan has become unbearable (I will replace it with an SCPH-50004 fan).
There's something I've noticed and want to ask PSX-Place members about. When I press the "reset" button while the device is on, it shuts down. This doesn't seem normal; as far as I remember, the device should restart.
What could be the problem? The power flex cable was bent when I plugged it in; could this affect it?

I already said I wanted to remove the modchip. In my second message, I explained that I had removed it.
You only read the subject line and then wrote a message. Thank you for your effort.
