PS2 MECHAPWN AND ESR

I have a PAL PS2 SCPH-7004.
MODEL ID: 0xD426
MECHA VERSION: 6.02

I first installed FREE MC BOOT using the Noobie Package.

I installed the INSTALL/CROSS-REGION. It was recommended over MULTI INSTALL because it corrupts the memory card with MULTI INSTALL?
This worked perfectly and I could play games I had made with ESR PATCHER.

Now I saw with mechapwn, you could play PS1 backups, as I wanted to play TOMB RAIDER UNFINISHED BUSINESS.

So I did read on here github:

The DVD Player KELF inside the BootROM (BIOS) is region locked on non-deckard (pre SCPH-750XX). Since you changed the region of the console it can't run that file. To fix that you need to install a DVD Player update to your memory card.

To be sure I wasn't going to have any issues booting ESR games I updated the DVD PLAYER.to 3.11 (RPC-1) :
PS2 DVD PLAYERS/MC/WITHOUT PROGRESSIVE HACK/3.11J/EUROPE/ENGLISH/BEEXEC-DVDPLAYER
using the tutorial from Berion on here.
It worked flawlessly and is showing 3.11 (RPC-1) in the menu.

Then I proceeded to install MECHAPWN using MechaPwn_pck_3.0rc4.elf. I choose for DEX and Europe Region. Now I can perfectly play PS1 backups. Even Tomb Raider Unfinished Business is working.

Now when I want to play ESR PS2 games it doesn't work. The laser makes a strange buzzing sound and it shows the DISC CANNOT BE READ. I guess it is in PS1 mode or something?

If I remove MECHAPWN and RESTORE MY ROM it works again for ESR PS2 backups, but PS1 games don't work anymore. I'd rather not make MASTER DISCS of all my PS2 DVD backups.

Is there a way to get it to work on both ESR PS2 and MECHAPWN PS1 games?

Someone said to install the USA version with mechapwn instead of Europe on here, but it didn't make any difference.

Just to let you know. As soon as I install MECHAPWN even DVD MOVIES show The disc could not be read.

So I need to put USA DVD PLAYER on PAL CONSOLE for it to work?
I even tried the below one as I thought it might be region unlocked.

It seemed logical to use EUROPEAN DVD UPDATE on EUROPEAN CONSOLE?

After Mechapwn is installed. ORIGINAL PS2 GAMES work/PS1 BACKUPS work. DVD VIDEO does not work. PS2 ESR BACKUPS do not work.

What is Your current region? What DTL-H exactly is displayed in OSDSYS?
Your console is no longer European I believe. That's why DVD-Players (from rom0 and chosen one put on mc0) no longer works.

However, I'm not sure if this will fix Your problem anyway. I'm not sure but I think You don't need DVD-Player for ESR/FDVDB discs booting by ESR because it is only MechaCon which handle discs detection, so once he detecting DVD-Video, it should pass through it further.

My advice: on first, try DVD-Player for USA or Japan (DTL-H id should tells You which one). If this will not work either, then restore NVM backup (I hope You have it, by latest 3.0 beta of MechaPwn), and then try last stable MechaPwn. Maybe something is broken for Your models, which this test should reveal.

PS: I have deleted part of my comment in earlier post with "seems logic" etc. because I realized it could be taken as salty or contempt. My intention was to make a joke. :P

My current region is PAL. It displays SCPH-70004, after I patch with Mechapwn it keeps displaying SCPH-70004, it doesn't change to DTL-H. Yes I have backup. I restored it now.

What should I do. Restore backup and try version 1.03?

With version 1.03. It shows DTL-H70004, but still doesn't load DVD MOVIES anymore. ESR Patched games don't work either.

If I put the USA DVD PLAYER on memory card BAEXEC-DVDPLAYER, it doesn't work either. It even doesn't load the DVD driver as it stays on 3.10E.

If I put the EUROPE DVD PLAYER it shows 3.11J. But DVD MOVIES don't work anymore and ESR Patched games don't work anymore.

Ok, I just found out it's a bug and it takes a long time to fix it...
