Now i can launch dvd videos with this tutorial
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/ps2-dvd-player-modifications.25039/
Placed in My mc
Hice eso pensando que así podría arrancar FreeDVDBoot ya que lo menciona en la Github y Nop. Encima ahí por descuido volví a dañar Fortuna LOL

I did that thinking that this way I could start FreeDVDBoot since it mentions it on the Github and Nop. Over there by carelessness I damaged Fortuna again LOL

It still did not work, and I did not want to leave the console like that so that the freedvdboot screwed up the fortune icon. I did not think twice and went straight to change the region to USA and everything works fine, but I would love to have it in the native region of the PAL console

I changed the console to USA (DTL-H75001).

goods:
- it now plays Ps1 games from any region without need of patching (aside from Y-pos in case of some PAL games)
- Original Ps2 games from any region start directly from Ps2Browser/OSDSYS, no need to skip the logo.

bads:
- DVD videos still doesn't work for me, since the player is now limited to USA discs.

I tried with the DVD video that comes with FFX International. The DVD player results installed now, but it appears the message that the disc cannot be reproduced because is from a different region.
All my Video DVDs are either PAL (almost all) or JAP.

That player you linked have some cons I see. I'll check if setting the console to some other country will solve the problem.

I don't think the chip is the problem, but who knows maybe yes, maybe not.
but If it was the chip, it shouldn't work on SPCH9000X or DTLH90001. But as I said, the most important thing is that FreeDVDBoot in DTLH90004 breaks fortune and the worst thing is that it does not start the disk XD

So, when you patch the Ps2 to USA (DTL-H90001) your Ps2 can read PAL and/or JAP DVD videos??

I wonder if setting my 75004 (that I have now set to DTL-H75001 without success) to 90001 would work.

Or maybe not all 7500X are deckard?

I have been doing a little testing with MechaPWN on my SCPH-70001 and my SCPH-50001, I notice that if I keep my Memory Card with FMCB 1.966 Multi-Install(Since that is the only version of FMCB 1.966 Multi-Install I tested with) and boot my PS2s up with a Master Disc in it as soon as the FMCB splash screen vanishes the Master Disc boots and a gray block with the playstation 2 logo appears and the game starts, without the memory card plugged in it doesn't boot the Master Disc at all. It was really cool to see the card and debug stuff working in tandem like that.

It is reported in the Readme, you need to slkip the logo for booting a MasterDisc.

@Peppe90
Nah, this is what I "talked" about with @Haker120 earlier!

FMCB's "FASTBOOT", etc.!

Indeed. It allows to skip the logo, as in the video of the spanish guy (the logo is a grey block and the game starts as it have been skipped).
You can also boot masterdiscs from Ule.

But from OSDSYS the masterdiscs don't start.

Yes, they (currently) only start via Homebrew.

I think the forced detection should allow it to start through the OSDSYS without Homebrew or an Exploit!

It's a pity it breaks Ps1 games. For DVD-video is not a problem since they are already broken.

I was just saying with a combination of my FMCB 1.966 Multi-Install and MechaPWN seems to allow both my SCPH-5000X and my SCPH-7000X seems to boot just fine with logo if the boot takes place directly after the FMCB splash screen. I was ultimately just saying it is a cool thing to see.

Now that I think about it better, it can be another not-verified (not mentioned in the readme) thing, since FMCB doesn't skip the logo. In fact you're seeing the logo, just corrupted. Also if you boot an original PAL game (with the Ps2 set to NTSC region) you'll get that same logo (with or without FMCB), since the PAL logo is different from NTSC-U/J.

I still haven't tried any masterdisc, so I don't know if it's normal behavior to have the logo corrupted.
About it, you were on USA Dev-kit patch right? The masterdisc patched game was a NTSC one?

Hi, used MechaPwn 2.00 on a slim pal 9004, which is not compatible with freemcboot. used freedvdboot -which IS compatible luckily with my slim 9004- to change to dex region 9004 europe. afterwards, ps2 could only read original PAL games and nothing else, also not freedvdboot. I thought I 'bricked' my ps2 homebrewwise, being forever stuck on the DTL version. Luckily I have another fat ps2 with freemcboot which can't run mechapwn. I installed OpenTuna through my fat ps2 on a memory card and that way I could access ulaunchelf and reinstall mechapwn on my slim ps2 (phew). This time, I chose dex region 900x (1 or 2 can't remember?) USA and this time it booted everything, including backups. Only thing that was off was the PAL logo for PAL ps2 games, which looked corrupted. ntsc-u and -j logos were fine.

Yeah US console patched consoles, NTSC masterdiscs. I imagine it would be a little harder on the SCPH-90000s, I am thinking about buying one just to mess around with it.

DEX PAL can read Ps2 from any region, but differently from the USA devkit, you need to skip the logo for NTSC games (so you must boot the games from Ulaunchelf as explained in the readme).
About the FDVDBOOT issue I guess it is related to some bug PAL region has with DVD-Video. Probably devs aren't yet aware of this.

Yes, using NTSC region you can't show the PAL logo.

From the readme I gathered that what you say only applies to SCPH-500xx and SCPH-700xx models. As I have an SPCH-90004, I thought the statements under 'On SCPH-7500X and later models (also known as Deckard consoles)' applied. As in that part the statements are not targeted to specific consoles or regions it seemed to me it doesn't matter to which DEX console's region I would switch. Also it seems my findings are quite similar to those from @Fran23 although I don't have a modchip.

For this reason I said, "I think devs aren't aware of this". See: Video player issue · Issue #25 · MechaResearch/MechaPwn (github.com)

We both (I and @Fran23) have this problem with Deckard consoles (75004 and 90004). We simply set our Ps2 as DTL (no region change, so it should work even on not Deckard Ps2) and the DVD video player appears as not installed.

Instead, changing region to USA, the DVD video player appears as installed (again, exactly the contrary on what's reported in the readme). Btw in my case is useless, since my DVD Video are PAL (some Jap), so after launching a DVD Video it appears the message about region not matching.

I didn't tried any FDVDBoot partched game though (but since they relate it to DVD Video in the readme, most probably they share the same issue).
