I've noticed you don't read the "read me" files...Anyone with a PAL 50K or 70K? I installed DTL-50003 initially, then DTL-50001, but seems like PS1 games will always only boot in 50Hz. I'm trying to use Import Player Light 2.1 to boot NTSC-U/NTSC-J games but IPL itself just black screens (it is the PAL IPL2.1 of course).
The only thing I can do to launch them is:
1. Boot to uLE, start PS1VModeNeg (to force 60Hz)
2. Insert Action Replay V2 PAL (which obviously now launches in NTSC)
3. Start Game (with/without cheats)
4. Insert NTSC-U-NTSC-J game and Press X
I'd much rather be able to just insert IPL2.1 from the bios/browser screen, select NTSC from there and then launch. I can do this fine on my 90K (DTL-90001), I'm guessing the boot sector of IPL2.1 is finicky, like it doesn't have the regular PS logo, it does say Sony Computer Entertainment Europe though. I can boot other PAL backups fine.
I also noticed theres a "PSONE BootDisc - Modified Import- Player for PAL PS-One (SCPH 102B)" here
https://consolecopyworld.com/psx/psx_utils_bootcd.shtml
I kinda doubt it will work though.
- NTSC-J and PAL consoles: BOOT PS1 disc originals from the console's original region

You can also assingn Ps1VModeNeg to a FMCB hotkey (or even put it on autolaunch, for the time you're playing a Ps1 game), no need to enter Ule each time.
You only need that for playting games in NTSC mode.
For the NTSC games to work you need to rip the game, patch the iso to Europe with disk patcher 3.0 and burn the backup copy.
Hi, I have SCPH-77004 console and after patching to dev model I have NTSC in both OSD and PS1 games. Is this because of region check that PAL uses or there is a fix for that?
Never mind, just found out about ps1vmodeneg and now my games play in proper 50hz but I still want my OSD to be in PAL mode. Is that possible
Yeah I'm pretty sure i installed RC4 already because I remember that I picked the newest version. And regarding nvm.bin, does it stay with my original firmware after multiple dex - cex changes or app overwrites it with firmware before newest change? Because if it does i don't have original firmware anymoreHave you installed the RC4 version? If not, restore the nvm.bin (with the same mechapwn version you used), then install RC4 version:

Okay thanks. I just read readme carefully and found out (in section "Explanations of the app screens") that it will indeed force NTSC on 70k+ consoles just as you said, andYou should backup it on your PC. But also it depends on which version you used first, pre or post AKuHAK revisions, 'cause you can read on RC2/3 changelog:
"NVRAM backup now is safer: never overwritten, created only once, and unique per console..."
If you used previous versions, then probably you don't have the original backup anymore.
See also: "ability to uninstall Force Unlock even if you lose your NVRAM backup. Just select in the Patch menu->Restore Factory Default"
Anyway, you can check the elf if you still have it, if it's RC4, then the line I was referring to is for something else.
Installing RC3 (the last version I used), on PAL deckard consoles, the OSDSYS changes to NTSC for allowing Ps1 games (either originals and backups) from any region to work.
If you keep the OSDSYS to PAL, you'd have to rip any your NTSC Ps1 game, patch the ISO to Europe with disk patcher 3.0 and burn a backup copy.
also explains why my PAL PS1 games were running at 60fps instead of 50. By the way my NVRAM backup is fine and it contains original firmware inside. Can confirm that because if I restore it it runs in PAL video mode. Thanks for help anywayOn Deckard, this also forces NTSC video mode and forces PS2 and PS1 titles to run in the NA region.
FMCB - OSDSYS Settings - VMode
Switch from AUTO to PAL...

It only affects the OSDSYS...I didn't even though about that 'cause I never used the FMCB VMODE settings.
This way NTSC Ps1 games will keep working?

You cannot choose DTL-H75004 in v3.0 version, model name change is locked. You can choose between various regions. Then I wonder what @akuhak MechaPWN revision actually does, I mean this line in the changelog:
"Deckard-only: force NTSC mode if the DEX option selected"
You could chose for example DTL-H75004. So even if you set it as PAL devkit MechaPWN will instead set it as NTSC dev-kit, actually choosing DTL-H75001??
Deckards are region-free, is just the PAL protection that prevents NTSC games to work. If this can be fixed just changing the OSDSYS setting then also with older mechapwn versions (that keep the PAL region) you could simply set NTSC through FMCB_Configurator for NTSC games to start I guess.
