Are there other games that are mod-able the way Skyrim is?

not mod menus or cheats, but actual game changing mods?

The only game that I've found was Skyrim

Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vagas.< Bascially all the Bethesda games you can do this with.

You'll find tons of mods like the one's your looking on Nexusmods. And for a ton of other games as well.

Just beware that not all the mods on here will work on the PS3 versions as these mods are mainly for PC but quite a lot do work on PS3.

It depends on the game and the differences between the PS3 version and PC versions. The PS3 was a pain for devs to make games for, same as the PS2. They hated them lol....

Check out nexus mod and look in there games section, it has mods for over 200 games so it would be trial and error really as they tend to be for the PC versions. As long as a mod isnt dependant on some thing that is only on PC then it may work.

eg. Skyim UI> is only on PC and several mods depend on it but mods like Imersive armour and such will still work on PS3 without it, but mods that use SKSE, skrim script extender, wont work on PS3.
 
There's some PS2 games that can be modded as well, GTA San Andreas & the old DBZ Budokai games afaik. There's probably more. I used to do mods for Midnight Club 2 on the PC, I think the PS2 version could possibly be modded as well. I haven't looked into it though since that's a game that really plays better on the PC.

That's true, but most diehard fans of SA agree the ps3 version sucks. It's the android version, and has tracks cut from the soundtrack. Most of the foliage was removed too. Airplane handling was changed, etc.

One of the reasons why PC gaming is so cool is mods. If only installing mods was as easy as it was on the PC, console gaming would go very far. Instead of the recent BS live service games, mods are basically free live service that the publisher benefit from in the form of long term sales (GTA, Skyrim etc) and the user gets loads of free content.

PS3 modding currently is not so good. Not to mention bethesda always made poor PS3 ports.
GTA V is probably the only exception. What a lovely port! Muah!
 
it isn't a port,it was designed with clear goal to make out most of ps3 and 360,all other versions are ported,and masterfully enhanced and optimized.

LOL... while the graphics were the engine remained the same> Creation Engine> its a bag of crap just like Unity. = FULL of bugs.

And its the engine used that needs sorting out or switching to something like Ureal for better performance.

Also if the PS3 version was made just for PS3 then all of the 360 and PC key binds, scripts and that would not be in the main files, which they are. And if it was designed to make the most out of the system then the game would run at 1080p on the PS3, but it runs at 720p because of performance issues of the PS3. Even later DLC releases were delayed on PS3 because of this and released on PC and 360 first.

Most games during the PS3/XB360 generation had games made for the XB360 first, then ported over to all other platforms.

This is 99% of the time true, 360 was easier to develope on compared to the PS3 and games were normally ported to PS3 including Skyrim. Ask any true games dev who worked on PS3 games and they will tell you that they hated the PS3 to develope on. Also they hated the PS2 as well as it was just as hard to make game for because of S@nys unique, stupid way of doing things.

They corrected this with the PS4 and now with the PS5.

Yup. Remember Shinji Mikami RE4 ? As soon as Miyamoto showed Mikami the GameCube, he immediately left the PS2 in the dust to make RE4 exclusively for the GameCube, saying the PS2's EMOTION engine was a load of lumpy feces.

However, CAPCOM still ported the game to the PS2. However, the best version of RE4 is still the GC version. After all, it was made under Mikami.

After the departure of Kuturagi, Cerny was made to choose a architecture for the PS4 and all future models. Cerny made the right choice and S0ny made billions in the PS department.
