PS3 multiMAN Cover Pack v7.30

Strings in code bbc is path in Dropbox to covers which You can use in WMM. Those big are for RetroArch etc. PS3 cannot handle them (to low memory) and stretching them to square, so that's why they needs to be resized and put on fixed size.

Also You must change file name to match Your disc image name and place it in "dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/". A lot of work if You have lot of games.

The same for PSX.

In addition, of course it is not a collection of all game covers, just only covers for IMO the best games. It is possible that some of Your games will be missing but in that case, You can make Your own, using proper template, Your cover and resize result to match WMM size.
oh damn !
ok i understand
the resized is what i need for WMM ! great!
thanks you so much for your work on this
really helpful i started to depress a little bit but its a very very very good base to start with :)

thanks man !

Thanks. :)

If some games will be missing for You, let me know and maybe I'll make those covers. Yet this highly depend if there is somewhere high quality scan available.

The Download link is broken also everyone putting .jpg files in their game folders is just taking up Extra space you're USB Thumb drive or External HDD should look like this

PSXISO/BLES_000.01 / IMDUMB.BIN IMDUMB.CUE

So PSXISO folder for you're Ps1 games BLES_000.11 needs to correspond to said game mount with Deamon tools or check game cover and inside this folder is you're game name it whatever the hell you want

If anyone finds any missing covers, post them here or the content ID, and I will add them to the package. I guess it wont have any new games from the last year anyway, like sports games.

If anyone is looking for the Serial to their Ps1 game please consult these

Did you install this cover pack?
https://github.com/aldostools/Resou.../1.0/EP0001-BLES80608_00-COVERS00000RETRO.pkg

Try including in the file name of the BIN/CUE or ISO the game id between square brackets.
e.g. FF7 [SCUS-94163].BIN

or copy the cover file to the folder PSXISO or PS2ISO with the same name of the BIN/CUE or ISO with the file extension JPG or PNG.

Hello,
Question 1) I've got a slightly unusual situation on Hen, using the same filename as cue/bin method, rather than game/title ID, WMM picks up the PS1 images fine if they are in /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp/, but not if they are in /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp/covers/. I had understood both paths should work. It's not a deal breaker, I was just keen to keep them cleanly in a "covers" folder.

Would there be any likely reason this isn't working?

Question 2) Going up and down the list in webMAN games, a small number of games will retain the rotating arrows instead of the image loading. What's particularly odd is that which games do this will vary as you cycle up and down the screen.

Any pointers to what would be causing that?

1) PS1 covers are searched in /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers_retro/psx in this format: SLES_999.99_COV.JPG
In the other "/covers" folders the format is SLES99999.JPG

The covers in format "filename.JPG" or "filename.PNG" currently are searched in /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp/covers/ only if ICON0.PNG or DISC ICONS modes are selected. Honestly I don't remember why I added this constraint. Maybe to reduce the number of searches using the default mode MM COVERS.

2) The display of the covers on XMB is handled by GameOS. If the icons show rotating arrows is because the icon could not be loaded due high memory usage at the moment it was requested. Check that the size of the covers are not larger than 192x192 and try to perform a slower scrolling if you want to load the covers, due they are constantly being loaded while are moving on XMB.

Excellent, appreciate the quick reply and the detail. That gives me the background I needed. Thank you

Capturing this for anyone coming back here. Since I primarily use webMAN Games what has worked well for me is:

On PC:
1) Extracting the cover files I need from EP0001-BLES80608_00-COVERS00000RETRO.pkg (once all files were in a folder, using a .txt list I created of the IDs + a batch file matching to the list and deploying xcopy)
2) Resizing them to PSX and PS2 size respectively with CoverBox (what a neat tool BTW...)
3a) Renaming PSX filenames to match ROMs (ren command via CMD is good for this)
3b) renaming PS2 to e.g. SLES99999.PNG (powershell e.g. get-childitem *.png | foreach { rename-item $_ $_.Name.Replace("_", "") } is good for this)

On PS3:
4a) Placing PSX covers in /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp/
4b) Placing PS2 covers in /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers/
5) Exit, Refresh XML, start a PS1 pkg game, Exit
6) webMAN Games folder is now as clean as a whistle - nice sizing, no spinning arrows

Massive thanks to all who have contributed content, tools, guidance over the years
