PS3HEN Multiman opens only in debug mode

I have installed the latest multiman on my PS3 super slim (CHECH4204) with HEN.But everytime I start multiman I can see the multiman icon at the beginning. After that follows a message on screen which says "Debug Mode". Inside of multiman I can see the menus only for a tenth of a second before they disappear. Multiman doesn't freeze, so I'm able to exit it through the PS button.
I already tried a few times to format my hdd and reinstall 4.86 HFW twice before installing HEN but I get always the same problem.
I also tried webman Mod but it freezes my PS3 the moment I leave the webman Mod settings.
Either I'm an idiot or something is wrong with my PS3. I would really appreciate it, if someone could help me out.

Uninstall Mm and then install it again.

I tried to uninstall it in XMB and then install it again a few times. I even tried Unofficial multiMAN v04.84 HEN.

ive never heard of multiman debug mode! but i did some reading. holding L1 and L2 while starting multiman will enable debug mode. maybe your buttons are stuck? try a different controller.

EDIT:
sorry...the button combo is L2 and R2. i typed it wrong.

After trying my PS4 controller both multiman and webman Mod work without a problem. Would have never thought that a simple button press could cause me such a headache. I can't thank you enough Coro.

At this point it looks you are going to need to open your dualshock3 to see if you find the problem inside it, but before that you could use this app, not sure if it allows to check L1 & L2 though
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/ps3-gamepad-test.144/
Or the other PC utility

Incase you see in that programs that your dualshock3 is having some phatom button presses in L1 and L2 you should start by looking at the contacts at the copper border of this part:
Dualshock_3_Ribbon_Circuit_Board_SA1Q160A.jpg

As you can see the traces for L1 and L2 buttons are at a border of the connector next to each other... it seems you have a problem at that side of the connector ;)
Probably caused by oxidation of the copper, usually can be solved by addding some rubber to increase the pressure on it (and by other means)

Btw... if your copper contacts of that part looks "dirty" (oxidized) dont try to "clean" them with isopropil alcohol... if you do you are going to damage them even more

Just for curiosity sake... what happens is the controller chip of the dualshock is "monitoring" L1 & L2 (and all the other analog buttons sensitive to pressure) by sending an small voltage in that lines and calculating the resistance of it

When the connections in between the real PCB (printed circuit board) and the RCB (ribbon circuit board) are intermitent the controller chip identifyes the resistance variations of that traces as button presses

I opened my PS3 controller, cleaned it and changed the L1/2 and R1/2 triggers back to the original Sony ones. Before that, I tried 3rd party triggers because I wanted a black PS3 controller with blue buttons and triggers.
It might have been either the buttons because the measurements from these 3rd party triggers aren't exactly the same as the original ones or it was some dirt that got inside while I changed the buttons and triggers. Whatever it was, now the controller works perfectly fine.
