Using multiMAN I can't get PS2 games to rip from BD to HDD on CECHC Evilnat 4.90 and neither can a lot of people.
I had a machine at 4.89 and it wouldn't rip PS2, all I got were read errors. I updated another machine to 4.90 and it wouldn't rip PS2 to HDD, errors in the background again, gives up after 30 tries.
I took the 4.90 CEX to PEX to DEX then back to 4.84 Rebug R-DEX and it rips PS2 just fine.
Full disclosure I am a complete noob and never done any of this before so if I get names or terms wrong or got the whole thing back to front let me know but I know for a fact I am not the only one in this boat.
But I asked around and done some searches and see people with the same problem, though most people FTP on and couldn't tell me either way.
I am assuming this is a CECHC problem because no one on a CECHA or CECHB has this problem and it works fine for them, which actually led me to flash one console about 20 times, use 3 new HDD's and no less than 9 BR drives on.
I think I pretty much exhausted everything before rolling back, but my entire experience on the subject only amounts to about 18 hours in a single day so it could be something I am doing wrong. I thought at first it was a directory structure problem, it definitely says read errors rom ripping the PS2, however it still attempts to make an ISO and you end up with a faulty ISO that if you try and play you get locked into a black screen aka a crash.
