MX4SIO Can't read MC

I Just got my MX4SIO that I order. I put OPL v1.1.0 on my MC with FMCB and the games works pretty well but in any game it cannot find any MC to save the game!

any help??

btw I also tried the last beta OPL version and the same.
 
I am not sure if I understand you...
Do you have a memory card and MX4SIO?
A memory card is in slot 1 (mco:/), MX4SIO is in slot 2 (mc1:/)?

All your games are on an SD card in MX4SIO?
You cannot save game's states onto a memory card?

You need the special MX4SIO OPL (BDM3), you can find it here on at the bottom of this post by Maximus32:- https://www.psx-place.com/threads/m...-ps2-sio2-interface.29210/page-15#post-275928

There are two versions: 1627 (BDM) and 1629 (BDM3) ...you will want BDM3 (1629)

By the way, where did you buy your MX4SIO?

This is bad...

...because they don't support the community here. They just take people's money and offer a 2nd rate product.

Yeah, but the worst part - it's not even a good copy, and still they use the name "MX4SIO". Their design has been modded because they wanted to assemble with cheaper parts. And their price blows my mind:- Fake MX4SIO + Fake PS2 MC / 64MB FMCB + Cheap SD card = $50 (and that is their sale price, it was $70 just before!) ...so expensive, totally over-priced.

People buy it from them and come here when it's not working for help, pffff :rolleyes:

looks good my friend but I have no idea where to get this kind of MX4SIO that ship to israel

Regarding your question:- at the moment i am building more MX4SIO units to the original Dev specs, and doing the monthly Free Give Aways here. It does take time (and money) to source the gold plated PCBs, all the correct components, industrial quality 3D printed cases, and assemble everything together. So i only have a few complete MX4SIO each month to spare.

However, anyone here on PSX-Place is welcome to (PM) contact me, if interested in buying a MX4SIO. Know that any money received goes towards buying all of the above mentioned items, so i can build more MX4SIO for the next monthly MX4SIO Free Give Away, here on PSX-Place.

Please keep in mind, i only have a few extra MX4SIO available each time - so i might not have any (ready for sale) when you contact me, but i can let you know when more will become available, all being well. For now this (imo) is a good way to help support the community here and help support the community project. :love heart:
 
Hi, I recently bought Helder's MC2SIO device and, using the 1629 BDM3 build, I can now use physical MC cards to load/save games. Just one issue though, seems like VMC are not working for this device. Is this normal, or is it just me? I can create VMCs, which by the way takes forever, but games freeze once started.
