PS2 [MX4SIO/SIO2SD] SD Card Adapter and SD-driver for the PS2 SIO2 interface

Whuat? The compatibility has increased significantly.

Which games have you tried?
Have you tried any compatibility-modes?
1, 2 and 6 are the most important ones. 3 is "in the middle". 4 and 5 are rarely of importance.

THX for your tests.

Edit:
@Fabio Kuntze
Please retry the adapter in the other slot.

@krHACKen wrote on the PS2-Scene-Discord, that he tried it with a 70004 and a 70011 and it works for him.

Are your ISOs defragmented?

@Anakin94 tried GTA SA and even made/uploaded a video! THAT certainly works!

Something is seriously wrong with your images, or your modchip is interfering.

Just to be clear.
Reports of downloaded or improperly dumped ISOs are not useful at all!

Hi, I have been planning to do this mod and maybe if it works post some videos of him in the brazilian ps2 scene.. But first, I have a little question to prevent from any kind of KABOOM in my ps2... lmao
Is there any problem to do this mod with a working mc board? without dumping any original component from him? I want to test this mod, but i don't want to inutilize any of my mc's..
Is that all, waiting for reply :D

It won't work connecting the micro SD to the memory card pcb without removing the components, buy a generic Chinese MC or make a pcb

Right, tnx for quick reply
I will not buy another MC, maybe will cut the lines that go to the main original mc circuit or will make my own pcb as you say

It may be wiser, when modifying a PS2 MC to test this, to only cut the /CS (/SS, /ATT) line to the controller IC and connect it through a resistor to high level (3.5V), and not cut the rest of the lines. That way the PS2 MC functionality won't be lost and can easily be switched by re-connecting the /CS line as it was originally. This is untested though.
Oooor, I will take a prove if this method really works and all the supposed KABOOMS are from my fault :D

I'm wondering whether it may work to force SS to high on the sd card as well...
Otherwise it's LOW or floating, right?
Also: isn't there a problem with SS because it can't be controlled properly?

EDIT: after educating myself about SPI I must admit: what a stupid idea:P

this happened to me because of the OPL configuration files that I already had on the memory card, try renaming the OPL folder to OPLBAK and try loading the OPL again and starting a new configuration

So here are the final results:

The black screen has fixed, same way as you say.

Tested with a 16GB Sandisk micro sd card formatted in fat32 with a american FFXII iso putted in dvd folder, the console didn't recognize nothing. Tried many ways and not happened.

Then I tried with a generic 2GB micro sd with a nascar 08 iso on dvd folder, exact same method as the sandisk and not happened.
As I saw a few pages ago, micro sd sandisks are not compatible, so I don't think this is a problem with my adapter..

Will try to get a toshiba micro sd and see what happens, probably I will back there when and if I get one

This is mine adapter:

Pls don't punch me, I tested every single pin from the mc entry of the console to the micro sd slot from this old phone with a digital multimeter and everything seems to be fine

@Fabio Kuntze @Maximus32 @all

I came across a weird thing, which I think could help in tracing a bug which causes incompatibilities with games.

I dub/call it the "PADEMU-Fix" for now, because it causes games to work, which do not work without it.
I used PADEMU with a DS4 via BT on some games, which would normally stall on a logo like GT4, Big Mutha Truckers 1&2, Burnout 3, etc.

Guess which game also works with this "trick" on the DECKARD... **ICO**!!!
It showed me "unsupported format" for the VMode, so I forced it to 1080i via GSM.

I hope this helps tracing an/the issue.

i finally got around to making mine but haven't tested it yet as my ps2 is in the loft but i'm waiting for a ps2 slim (SCPH-70004) to arrive which i'm going to mod so that's what i'll test it on.

here is what i did using an official memory card board:

on the part of the hole where you would use your nail to remove the sd card i sloped it so despite it not sticking out much it's really easy to remove the sd card still :)
