PS2 My ps2 freezes in the first loading screen *[SOLVED]*

Can't i just download opl beta without using a dvd-r disc and burn some file on it ?

OPL is used precisely to avoid using "CD/DVD" discs. I'm talking about defragmenting your "USB" device, defragment it and tell us how it went.

I did defragment to my usb but still the same problem

Defragmentation is then ruled out.

I remember that in the past I had to change a configuration with the "matrix" chp that also solves the games starting problems.

so the question is:

Have you already verified if you have a physical chip?

I corrected the typo on my previous message.

Just to be sure, since I don't know your knowledge level.
Tell me the exact steps you made. You should:

1. Put the game on the drive
2. Defrag the device and insert it on the Ps2

It happened more than once to see people defrag the device, then installing the games...

If you done it correctly, check the MD5: redump.org • Discs

The physical chip is what makes it possible for your console to run applications, it is soldered to the motherboard, but the way to check
If you have it, it is that when you turn on your PS2, a logo of the physical chip, for example "matrix", should be displayed on your television screen.

My game "berserk" is already in the usb as iso file
When i ran the defrag disk application the only red squares files that need to be fragmented is another game so in other way to say it the game berserk has no problem.

Anyway i defragged the whole usb and all the squares went green then plugged the usb in the ps2 but still the same problem then i tried to defrag only berserk (the game i want) but the defragmentation ended in 1 sec, also plugged the usb in the ps2 and ran the game and still the same problem.

What should i do with this site ?
I saw 4 versions of berserk should i download the one with green light status ?

I've never seen "matrix" in my television
When i turn on my ps2 i only see frecboot logo then the opl greatness never left logo

Yup there's nothing here too.

But the good thing is i can now continue god of war 2 after i did defragmentation to it

There is no physical chip then.

Have you gotten God of War 2 working? It is already profit.

The second thing, as @arcadekidflo said, try another USB device and I recommend that you make one game at a time from the ones that don't work yet, don't forget to check the OPL compatibility list.

This is a very old version, update it to the latest Beta and maybe it will help solve your problem.

Most modchips do not have any logo on the boot. The only 100% way to detect a modchip is to look at the motherboard.
I tried to download it but my laptop doesn't read disc and because of that i can't download a new opl

Oh by the way when i turn on my ps2 i hear a weird clicking sound could it be physical chip ?.
I tried to run the game with different usb but still the same problem
I don't think it will ever work

Grab the latest beta from here https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/releases then place the ELF on the FAT32 stick . Then you'll have to use uLaunchELF to navigate the stick. Usually, the FCMB memory card comes preinstalled with it and it's accesible in the menu . If it does not show up try holding R2 at console start .
Half hour ago i just knew how to open this menu when i can get to my usb i think its ulaunchelf.
And i thought if i could download new opl
THANKS i will do it tomorrow

I see. As I said, if your Ps2 is previous to 5000X it would be much better to use an USB HDD instead of a pendrive (or even better an internal one). But most probably the issue about Berserk is a bad ISO.

That game, with or without ita/eng patch works with any OPL version (on some OPL versions it freezes when accessing the "World of Berserk" screen but everything else works).
