PS3 My ps3 literally doesn't format at 100%

Hello, well I have a ps3 here with a HD of 500gb. I would like to format it completely to redo a clean install. But I take the HD out of it, I do a complete clean on it by PC software, even diskpart.
But the PS3 just starts normally, not at that boot screen asking for a recent flash drive update.
I changed his HD and the users remained the same and the update remained. It just started normally as if I never had the format, which made me think that the firmware and some user data, are not in the HD anymore, but in some other component.
Does anyone know how I can erase this data to do a clean and complete install?
Thanks

turn it on without the HD, if it starts the system normally, you have a Ps3 with 12gb of internal memory.

To confirm with 100% certainty, try to connect without HD and if the system starts normally, go to system information and see how many free and total GB the system has, if it shows a total of 12gb or 16gb, your unit has a flash memory soldered on the motherboard

Obrigado

[yes] [no]" Can you tell me if it is related to what you said? And what would that option be? Thanks

It is enough to remove first 512KB to make HDD recognized as empty.

If You have CECH-4xxx model with 16GB eMMC instead to 16MB NOR, then HDD is not needed to run as everything is written on eMMC chip until You migrate to HDD.

I don't know what have You wrote above because I know only Polish and English... I understand that if You saw that user location is Brazil and You are from Brazil You choose to write in Your language but this is English language forum for a reason, and mainly this reason is that English is international language for western world so everyone would understand everyone else. Copying text and pasting to translators is annoying so please respect other users time.

How can I erase flash memory? To be able to do a full firmware format?

remove the HD from it, start the system and format by the console itself, there are settings in the > system (if I'm not mistaken) > formatting utility > quick format.

If you want to speak Portuguese with me, call me in a private chat, no problem.

Do not connect HDD to the console. Go to recovery menu and choose Restore PS3 System. This will erase all user data from the console.

BTW: writing a post in different language is not a crime, there was no reason for delete it. ;) Next time just provide translation above or below "original text" and this will be fine.

english:
oops quiet? 100% have 100% that your PS3 is assured so that it has internal flash memory, which is correct, you are formatting the HD correctly, but the update is not in HD, but the flash memory sold directly on the board, to format the version in HD it will have to format it by its own system, it can be by the secret menu or by going to the settings > formatting utility, anything calls me to help you.
And this message appears for you to change the location where the game files are stored and, I'm not mistaken, to the HD instead of flash update.

@Coro thanks for restoring his message, and sorry if I break any forum rules, as I've always been oriented I use English as the main language on the forum but when I use Portuguese to communicate I put the translation below.
