Need help on my purchased PS3 with faulty HDD

Hi, I need all your expert help on my 2nd hand PS3

I got this from facebook market the details said that
"HDD is broken"
"when install another HDD and struck at below image"

I do some research and think that "Hey this should not be that hard to fixed it, I might able to do it with just replace with new HDD, so I can get a functionable PS3 with a very good price"

Things turn out a lot harder than I thought...........

I literally struck on this below screen for 6 hours now.......

I did literally everything that can research through website and forum, from simple mistake like capital letter of the folder, FAT32, MBR partitioning etc. to something like uhhhhh, various OFW, CFW, CEX, DEX, nothing let me get through this screen.

I manage to follow every step and I still struck at the same page......

believe me, I am not the type of person that got some small issue and turn to get some help from community, but this time, I desperately need some help from your expertise.

What model is it? PHAT or slim? CECH??
What firmware was originally installed on it? CEX OFW 3.50?
Have you got confirmation that the usb device you are using is detected correctly by the PS3 and the pup file analysed by the recovery environment? Is there a led on it to monitor IO accesses?

Have you tried installing CEX OFW 3.55? Then if successful, a CEX 4.8x CFW of your choice could be installed directly over it.
No need to wait for hours btw, on a small USB stick, if the pup file is not recognised and the file installation does not start within a couple of minutes, it never will.
 
Hi, for more info, this PS3 is CECH-2504B code date 0D

Last night before I sleep, I manage to make it past the above screen by using my old usb drive and put in OFW 3.50 on it.

My guest, this would because I use newer usb all the time.....

Anyways, after it complete installation, (after the screen said that the system will restart after complete software installation" then suddenly it turn off.

I wait for a while and press power, it become red light then press again my PS3 on for around 2 sec and then shut down....

After that it become dead loop no light > press power > red light > press power > green light > after 2 sec > no light....

It's just a coincident that my ps 3 is broken after i finish my installation, or it have anything doing with software??

I try to disconnect HDD but no luck struck in loop
 
It doesn't matter if USB thumb is newer or ancient. All works if requirements are met and pendrive is at least USB 2.0.

Possible if NOR gets corrupted (no matter what kind of firmware be installed).

Sounds like turned off because of to high temperatures. But it should have led at least in standby mode so I dunno.
