I hope this is allowed to ask here. I'm trying to activate the debug menus of two games, but for that I need to decrypt the eboot to edit some things in there, but all the tools I tried did basically nothing. I had a tool downloaded somewhere where it worked a few years ago, but the laptop I had it on got lost, and I can't remember the name of it. Please help me. C:

Thx this will be useful later for me but that's not what i mean rn for now i just want to activate the in game debug menu but for that i need to decrypt the eboot first to actually edit anything

So i don't know if i'm doing something wrong here but it doesn't really do much besides removing the SCE part from the file if you look at it tthrough a hex editor it looks the same just the without that part as it did with it. Other tools like scetool or esse resigner both fail to decrypt it. Normally if you decrypt the eboots it looks a lot different looking at it through a hex editor.

What game is it? What is the ID? I have run across some eboot files in the past that could not decrypt also. I would be curious to try that one out. This isn't really my specialty, but I think it has something to do with the keys used.

The Games are Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns and these are the EU version so for XIII-2 the id is if i'm not mistaken BLES01269 and for lightning returns it's BLES01811 i also had problems in the past for the first ff13 game but i managed to get the debug menu for that working in every version i got
