New Accounts/Posters have restricted access to posting in Main Forum

You make claim about your post being answered faster in the main forum but really as a new poster you can't really make that claim. You don't have many post to compare it to and your post can be seen just as easy here or in that thread. but again that is opinion of mine as your theory as well is opinion.

if I could handle this privately I would, but that isn't an option here. I don't talk just to talk, I made a claim because I have proof. I got answered the next day twice and the same day once. And to top it off it wasn't just any old member, but the developer of the patch themselves. The point of all this is that we come here to search for answers, get help, or provide it and that happens BEST while on the thread of the topic at hand… I simply do not like being treated unfairly. And being suddenly restricted without any type of warning is unfair treatment. Being told that I was making baseless claims is unfair treatment, and frankly my only aim is to show that the tweaks and modifications that were stated to be needed, are DEFINITELY needed. Beside, you don't specify what the threshold is or anything, so to users that got restricted, we can't even have a way of knowing until it just happens, again making changes without ANY type of forewarning.

I think you forget that posting in the forum's here is a privilege and not a right.

I think you are being treated just like any member who is in the same situation

You can still search and post to get answer's. If you are looking for the help of a specif person then you can use the mention system by adding an "@" in front of the username like @joonbo .

I do not need to give warning on decision made. Especially when the decision are for the overall betterment of the forum

We are not going to divulge the details as that would kind of defeat the purpose.
Its has various variables that change. Really all a new user posting needs to know
Seems to be alot of fishing for that type of details in this thread

Be yourself and a good user who follows the rules and you will be upgraded in no time. You have been more worried about this, then anything since 2021, so i don't think your really hurting that bad and I don't think these restrictions are that dramatic.

Honestly the only ones that have complained it the ones who have old accounts and never posted.

I've been told to DM esc0rt to send over some files for the PS3HEN idea we spoke about earlier but I can't do that because I can't DM anyone despite DMing luanteles before. And truthfully I don't know how I'm going to get that done.

You missed this message?

Your account privileges currently only allow for posting in the" The Starting Line" forum only , until your account status is upgraded. Your accounts will gain full access to the forum when approved by the system.

This effects all new user accounts & could affect some older accounts with little login/post history. We apologize for any inconveniences.

We do not run an email service here. psx-place PMs are for promoted members
That has been the case for sometime, that was not a new change.

Now the qualifications may of change since that time you were able to message LuanTeles but that is what i showed above as the reason why.

There are various ways to get him anything you need, i don't think you need special attention to achieve this task of getting esc0rtd3w those files.

You can just post a google link publicly splice. These are NOT sensitive files. Everyone will have access to them anyway.

I've been a member for a few months now and primarily publish in the Themes for OPL section. Does this mean I have to wait much longer to continue publishing my themes?

No one is stopping anyone from being to do the task you just ask to perform.

You can still post just as you made one there.

Thread Merged: being approved the starting line (Staff Edit)

.I was able to discuss in the PS2 forum just fine, and now I'm not able to carry on in forum topics. It has been this way for a good couple weeks now. Does anyone know why this has happened and if I can be approved?

It's incredibly frustrating being locked down. I'd really like to continue discussing homebrew about PS2

That's really odd that its been "incredibly frustrating being locked down" and "It has been this way for a good couple weeks now"
Since this is the first time you logged into your account since January prior to today , prior to when these changes took affect.

You must be getting confused with one of your other accounts you created.

Only one account is enough for me, I'm genuine and just asking, and I'm not here to look for a fight.

That's not true at all, my last post was on the 4th of March 2025, before my current posts today. I'm not sure why you feel the need to make people feel bad for asking simple questions, it's incredibly hostile and very odd.

I can admit that i was wrong with not seeing your march 4th post you are correct there.
I was actually looking at the wrong admin log, So again i was incorrect there and that you did not log in since Jan.
I do apologize for that as i was incorrect, it happens : )

To be honest, would not even looked if you were not suspect in starting a new thread asking what was already answered and a big block explaining it at top of the page. You found The Starting Line forum and knew you could post here but could not see this thread (post now moved to this thread) and the explanation's. You would of seen the link in the notice and as a sticky, you do not know to post in the starting line forum without knowing and seeing that notice and link to this thread.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to make people feel bad for asking simple questions, it's incredibly hostile and very odd.
Its not to make anyone feel bad, but to call bullshit when there is bullshit.

You went out of you way to avoid the thread here. New user's don't come here and make the rules.. They adhere to them or move on. Its that simple.

Suggestion are welcome but does not mean a new forum user/poster is going to get their way.
It more about doing best for the forum as a whole. Especially more so for the veteran members of the forum.,

So from what I understand, I can put my post here (in this case related to OPL Themes) and eventually it would be moved to the corresponding section (?)

My main question is, doesn't it somehow affect the reach of the posts? Because, at the start, they wouldn't have the same visibility if they were "stuck" in this section as they would have been directly in their own section?
