So they already had it patched in July, but then paid you $5k to report it in November? I really do not understand what you are saying, unless you mean the timestamps are wrong.

Yes maybe the kernel timestamp is old. But the kernel is perfect for this attack regardless. The issue was coming from dev flash files and I can see Sony updated them. And I can see in my tests Sony is improving it. When NDA is removed I'll let you know.
Let me make few more 1000$s till then lel

OK, ALL the tars in the pup have a July timestamp. So either the timestamps are fake, or this pup is not related to anything you reported last week.

Most likely timestamps are fake. Just look at all psn updates. "Minor security update"

Yeah, I'm more inclined to believe that Sony would take longer than a week to patch something they just found out about, they're notoriously slow. This whole scenario makes no sense tbh. Maybe more info will come out later.

I didn't realise. It was nothing personal, by the way, in case you thought I was targetting you for no reason :)

It's just that when it comes to matters of money changing hands, it can be murky waters to tread so we just like to keep it off the forum altogether to keep things simple. Of course private discussion is another matter as it is off-forum. Anyway, no hard feelings I hope :)

I don't have or hack your accounts. I used my own account as a poc to Sony to show what can be done. Full disclosure is not allowed. Better not judge me

the best I did is that I atleast helped you guys secure yourself. Still backlash? Probably I should never help you guys and then your losses are yours.

and by 10$ i legit mean that's your accounts worth on the market. Even if you spent 1000s on it.

I think everyone needs to calm down. All this tension over a simple misunderstanding. I believe @habib and @DeViL303 were not on the same page. From the virtual trail, I saw habib say something, then Devil303 to interpret it to mean something different, followed by habib interpreting Devil303's response differently than what it meant.

For some clarification...

habib basically said Sony needs to fix this or ALL of our PSN accounts are at risk.
Devil303 basically said if an account is already stolen, isn't it too late for a fix.

What was said after that would not have been said if not for misunderstanding what the other individual was talking about.
