PS5 No web browser

Per PSU it will not include a web browser.

Maybe they don't want a repeat of the 1.50 jailbreak, which was done via a JIT exploit?

They then removed the JIT function hence making web browsing on the PS4 so slow as to be useless...
 
I saw that in their q and a about the ps5. it's not the end of the world though. the 360 doesn't include a web browser, nor does the ds, but both were given one through a third party. I think the ds one is done by opera. I don't know about the 360, but it's possible a software exploit could be found (if anyone cares anymore) with it. I think that's the reason there's no browser on the switch. there's also no vc (possibly due to the fact that the main hack for the system utilizes an exploit with the ds emulator).

edit: looks like microsoft themselves released internet explorer for the 360, but I believe it has to be downloaded from the app store.

Ah...Sony hid it, pretend that the browser is not available, thinking that the console is hack-proof but isn't.

But, the main purpose of Sony doing this is to stop console users from enjoying pr0n vids via consoles.
