I never used a secondary user for any of what i have done....
Could you explain a reason for this?
My PSN account i use on my PS3 is a throwaway account anyway, so I didn't make a new one.

It is to my understanding that the reason for secondary user is so you can still access and use your legitimate PSN content while HAN exploit is enabled.
Is this correct?

If so, i had no need for this as i hadnt played any games on this PS3, only to watch netflix. So i have no game data, no save data etc

there only needs to be an act.dat present for HAN to work, so yes, it should work the same from any activated account. We just suggest using a 2nd account to not associate the exploit with a main account.

The reason for that is that original games won't work without han then
Also, if the game has some edats which are checked you will be stuck in a situation where edat will be working only without han and act.dat only with han which results in unbootable content

Of course this applies only to people who actually use PSN(which is most tbh)

OK, so in my case, I think i own 1 PSX classic from PSN legit.
This means i may have problems later on if i decide to download and play this game? Using my current account.
And, if i had made another account to do the expoit with, then i could have 2 user accounts on the PS3. One secondary user with secondary account (for HAN exploit stuff) and one main user with main account (for playing my 1 psx game).
Is this all correct??
I will need to update the guide accordingly

Your choice but with things such as this with alot of info and text our tabs can be handy they are very simple to use and to add, here is an example below. Only use it if you see fit and is useful to yourself. (you can add more then the 2 tabs as well.)

About psp games, I tried Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix... Game shows a message like normally before going to menu, stays at black screen when the opening should appear, Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy, goes to black screen too, aaaaand Megaman Maverick Hunter X... this one actually runs with no problem so far. about ps2 games, only managed to put Spiderman 2, because all the other I wanted to test are 4GB+ and I can't use the data transfer method like most ppl haha :c

I think PSP compatibility might be slim to non unfortunately.
I might start a HAN PSP compatibility thread if enough people test there games and report back.
I too have been unsuccessful with a LAN connection. It may not help that I have my pc and ps3 plugged into a network switch and then the network switch connect to a Power Line LAN converter down to the router. I've had varied networking success with this setup, streaming video cuts out, random connection drops.

I'm too tired from testing and writing my guide. But tomorrow I plan to connect my pc and ps3 directly with a LAN cable and editing IP address manually on my PC

Nice tutorial, I am interested about the game modding part, obviously right now it should be known that eboot/sprx/self mods aren't possible. If you want any ideas for that you can check out my thread for some HAN game mods I ported here I plan on adding more as soon as I can, and explaining things better. Although the current game mods I ported work 100% the same way the CFW counterpart worked.
