I too have been unsuccessful with a LAN connection. It may not help that I have my pc and ps3 plugged into a network switch and then the network switch connect to a Power Line LAN converter down to the router. I've had varied networking success with this setup, streaming video cuts out, random connection drops.

I'm too tired from testing and writing my guide. But tomorrow I plan to connect my pc and ps3 directly with a LAN cable and editing IP address manually on my PC

if u get it to work, plz tell me how haha, i really need to test some games that are bigger than 4GB

If HAN Enabler fails to initialise.
Clear browser Cookies, History, Cache and Authentication Info.
Reboot console.
Retry HAN Enabler

After sifting through and reading on this exploit for the past few days I'm understanding it to be: Create a 2nd User Account, Activate 2nd Account, go through the process of installing HAN and dumping act.dat and IDPS while on/for this 2nd Account (For those that are on 4.82 I'd presume it'd be wise to actually say not to have PSN set to autologin, shouldn't be going online with this throwaway account after its been activated correct?). From here on out I'd guess that any HAN pkg's you decide to use/install/play should only ever be done on this 2nd throwaway user account? (the general idea being to isolate this 2nd account from your main user/psn account correct?)

I suppose what I'm fishing for here is super clear directions before I decide to mess with any of this on my 4.82 FW pretty white super slim console of gaming doom and gloom.

You want to create a second user account on your PS3.
Then sign into PSN with secondary account within this new user account.

You will basically need, 2 user accounts and 2 PSN accounts. One will be your secondary User/PSN account which is used for HAN.
And the other will be you main User/PSN account which is used for online/legit PSN content.

What worked for me was setting the enabler as the home page, clearing everything and then closing and reopening the browser.

If you followed my guide and installed HAN Toolbox, there is an option to autorun HAN Enabler from inside the toolbox XMB menu.
This is much more convenient to use
 
Hi, i need help with PS2 games, i converted Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 and when i boot it, it boots but then the screen turns to black, the dualshock turns off and the ps3 stops recognizing it, also the TV just puts "no signal"

I put game first, then placeholder and at last Rap file, i transfered it over PKG Linker and tried both EUR and USA version.
 
I'm having a strange issue, I followed the PS3 conversion guide with no problems until I went to install, I tried the game first and it says "A later version is already installed" The game isn't on the XMB or in Game Data but a folder is on the hdd. I'm not sure how to fix this as I can't seem to delete the data, thanks for the quality post, I plan on trying other games that I have because my drive just went.

Use HAN Installer again but with the new support files
 
@Fin9ersMcGee : can I make a suggestion ? A new tab/Section E in your "Part 1 - PS3Xploit Installation" about "updating HAN". A new user (can't remind who) registered yesterday to warn us about a possible mistake : when you want to update HAN with the new han_support.zip files, DO NOT enable HAN before installing the new files - otherwise you will have to install OFW from scratch and loose everything. Sorry, I can't find his post anymore.

Hi, does someone know how can I fully install Call of Juarez Gunslinger? It's one of those PSN only games that are full but have a timed trial, I've been searching around but the only thing that I found is to use reactPSN but that's homebrew right? How can I make it work with this method? Thanks
