act.dat and idps.hex are only needed for resigning. No need to keep on USB (I keep them there though as a backup)

Start my PS2 section from scratch, download fresh copies of the tools and follow every step

Please re-read guide for changes.
BCES01277 is God of War HD Collection Volume 2. This game does not have an update. NO UPDATE, NO DICE.

You are lucky though... I see God Of War HD collection is available from the PSN Store....

Check my guide, Section 4.B to be precise.

Your game doesnt have an update!! IT WILL NOT WORK THIS WAY. CHECK PART 4.B

God of War HD is available on PSN Store....
The only way is to read Part 4.B of my guide, and figure the rest out yourself. I will not discuss piracy

Same for other games that dont have an update.
If your game content is from a BluRay disk and doesnt have an update, then it wont work
