As I am writing this guide alongside testing the methods, I am going back and following my guide over and over to make sure it is a working method.
I have just tested the game you are having trouble with....

Everything is working fine for me...

All PSN Content will work with Part4.B of the guide, thats PS1, PS2, PS3 etc etc...
The other part of my guide outlining PS1, PS2, PSP and PSP Minis is for converting original games into a PKG.

PSN Content will always offer the best compatibility

Follow my guide up to the point where you open "resign_all.bat".
Copy what is posted in command prompt window and paste it here in a spoiler... I'm sure it's a folder issue your having...
 
Does anyone know if god of war 3 can work as a game backup .pkg I have the disk but no way to back it up to test (ps3 super slim as most of you may have if using this tutorial)

80710092 is a common error and can be anything that stops you connecting so its a hard error to trace.
  • Windows firewall
  • Other firewall or AntiVirus
  • Cable problem
  • Port blocked on server
  • Port conflict on server
  • Missing dll on system
  • Package_list not updated by usb since server settings changed
  • Port changed in pkg linker but not changed in server settings
  • Port changed in server settings and not changed in pkg linker
  • PS3 not rebooted since new package list loaded on

Important things to try after reading trouble shooting tab in first post of pkg linker thread.
  • Disable firewalls, inc windows firewall, defender etc
  • Make sure the pkg linker app says your PC IP, it may have picked up wrong IP and need to be typed in manually.
  • See if you can access server via ps3 web browser
  • update package list via usb everytime you change settings until it works (always reboot ps3 to see changes on XMB)
  • Try change ports (in app and server)
  • Try run other servers (xampp, miniweb, hfs, node.js)
  • Read the entire pkg linker thread and try other peoples solutions
  • Google how to set up a web server and try learn about it.
  • Give up and just split your pkgs :)

I have node.js when i use it its reliable. through the web browser if i set up an index and start a file download through the browser of course it saves only to USB so 4gb+ files are out of the question and you can't save files directly to the PS3HDD through the browser, it works. How can i go setting that up to be used with PKG Linker?

Follow my guide about searching your disk game in ps3tools/ps3 update. If an available update is found, then your in luck.
If not, then only if God of War 3 is available in the PSN Store, then you can find a copy of that and it will work

If a bluray game has no update but was re-released on PSN Store then you can follow Part 4.B to get the game to work.

EDIT: If you 100%, legitimately own a physical copy of this game, I see no reason as to why your not legally allowed to own a backup copy. And, through my eyes, downloading a copy is the same as Ripping your game at home. So feel free to grab a copy and do some testing/learning

Now I remember the game (gow3) had an update before playing but the game itself came out as a disk only. And even if that is not really problematic I still have to find a way to back it up on a super slim.

Everyone who is reading the guide and running into problems. Please continue to test and post your results here.

Remember to always enable HAN.
If you reload pkg list for LAN transfers, reboot and reenable HAN.
If your installing new PKGs, enable HAN.
If you can't remember if you enabled HAN or not, enable HAN.
If your certain you already enabled HAN, enable HAN.
If your getting errors installing pkgs from USB and your 100% sure you signed them with Habibs Resigner, enable HAN
If you get errors when booting your backups, enable HAN.

So, remember, if you run into a problem, you probably didn't enable HAN.

I've gotta clock out now, I have a job interview in 7 hours....
