PS3 HAN [OBSOLETE] [Tutorial] The Great PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN All In One Guide

Need some help here. I'm helping a friend to install HAN, already manage to install HAN (han installer), also enable HAN (the folder for pkg shows), but when he try to "Initialize ACT/IDPS dumper" it always fails, already activate the system, downloaded a demo, play a game. Don't know what is happening here.

You've gotta be very patient here. It will fail quite a few times on this part, just have to be persistant.
Some things you can try to have better odds at success:
Direct connection to PS3 & modem/router via Ethernet Cable (If possible)
if not, have it as close to it as you can get it for best possible connection.

Also, the web pages where these tools are, such as the DUMPER, make bookmarks of these for quick access, as the PS3 browser is not the best for this, but you have no choice. Make sure you have cleared your browser's cache, cookies, history, all that after you've made the appropriate bookmarks.

Set the DUMPER page as the page that will load up on browser start.
Once you do this, close the browser, start it back up and go directly to the dumper page.

Even with doing this you may still fail. Try it a few times, close browser, and retry it again until you get success.

I know how aggrevating this part can be xD

Sorry for not posting the tutorial about spliting large pkgs into parts due to lack of time, so I'm gonna try and explain it as fast as I can till I post a video on youtube on how to do it.
The first thing we do is after we use ps3xlpoit resigner and get our signed pkg, we gonna extract the pkg using pkg viewer( look for the link at the tutorial ) after that we create many folders and name them part 1 part 2 ....and so on ( depending o the pkg's size ) and inside those folders we create another folder with the ID of the game (NPUB-NPEB-NPUA...) and inside those folders that having the game's id we copy the files ( see the image with red arrows )
Screenshot_2.jpg

After this step we go to USRDIR folder and try to cut fils and folders that won't be larger than 4gb inside each folder of parts so it's gonna be like this:Name Of The Game Part 1**NPUB/NPEB/NPUAXXXXX**USRDIR** look the picture below
Screenshot_1.jpg

After you complete this step now it's time to create our pkgs one after another-Here you need the aldotools ( link also in the full tutorial
on han ). After you download and install those tools go to the installation folder and right click on pkg viewer.exe and pkg content Id and run eachone after another as administrator ( you must do this step so you get the option to create a pkg from the parts folder of the game )Screenshot_3.jpg
Screenshot_3.jpg

After This Step you right click on the part 1----and so on and choose to create a pkg file look the image below
Screenshot_4.jpg

Note : make sure to rename the created pkg with the name of the game + which part is it so things will be clear for you when you copy them in ur usb fat 32 also create each part folder after another and one more thing make sure to copy the eboot.bin file inside usrdir of each part folder. That's it , I hope it's clear for you all if not post your coment and I hope it will work for y'all like it worked for me.Have a nice day

I've read this like 3 times already I only have one question does this work on a cech3001a PS3 I have 2 different PS3 a fat and slim I was just asking if this works on the PS3 slim cech3001a

Ive added XMB modding to the guide

Super late with this update but i had problems originally with tabs and it seems that's still the case...
Most of the guide is in tacked but numbered lists are now bullet points lol.

Ive tried to get this fixed but i dont wanna make it worse than it is. I'll leave it as is for now until i can figure it out

I also know how this part fails and fails, happened to me xD, and now to my friend, will try with other usb, also thanks for helping-

Amazing tutorial, everything works pretty flawlessly, got PSX, PS2, PS3, and even SNES working. Only thing is, when I try to make a .pkg of Street Fighter Alpha 3, it hangs on the Playstation loading screen when trying to boot. I used the same method for Final Fantasy Tactics, and that worked perfectly. Any ideas? Maybe it's because my rip of SFA3 has 2 tracks, and I can only use the first, big one? Also I tried using a custom icon for it (Same with FFT) but the icon is just the swirling loading icon, FFT's works fine. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

edit: i've now tried a bunch of games, Lunar, FF8, Breath of Fire, all work flawlessly, except Street Fighter Alpha 3, i've tried different ISO's, no dice. maybe this game just isn't compatible?

Thanks for the tutorial! PS2 and PSP games really got me stuck for a while, but it turned out to be the Unicode language (had it in japanese, and the programs were crashing because of that, changed it to English and it worked!)
Now, i have a question, i recently got Ridge Racer 7 3D, and that game has some dlc (music and decals for the cars), so i installed them and though the music does show unlocked in the game, it doesn't play (decals don't show or are not unlocked, i haven't finished the game so i don't know yet.)
So, is there a way to fix it? if i can't, how can i delete the dlc's only? or do i have to delete the entire game? and why the music doesn't play? could it be a regional problem? like, the dlc is from Europe while the game is from US? or was just a corrupted dlc? Thanks again.

Yes, Thank you! I never would have gotten HAN working on my 3k Slim without this tutorial and it has been working wonderfully!

I've had no problems figuring out how to make everything work for PS2 classics and PSN/c00 games, but I can't get PS1 or PS3 bluray to work. The issue comes up when I have to use the 'make_npdata' portion of each procedure (manually for PS1 games, as part of the CFW2OFW helper script for PS3) and my PC pops an error with a hex reference (can't remember the error or hex reference and I'm not at that computer at the moment, but I'll post details when I get the chance) and seems a lot like it may be a compatibility issue.

I currently run Ubuntu 16.04 dual booted with Windows 8.1 (both 64-bit, but I'm pretty comfortable using all versions of windows and most versions of linux. Is there a particular windows version that works best for all this, or if anyone has had this issue before?

Thanks!

Is it possible to install Showtime/ Movian media player on the PS3 OFW 4.81 by signing the package? Will it get installed in the first place?

You could install it but Movian is homebrew & currently homebrew cannot run. The installation would be useless.

can anyone help me i'm trying to install HAN on Rebug 4.82.2 REX so i can install ***PlayStation Store*** but Launch HAN installer always Freezes my console ???

First of all, thank you very much for the very detailed tutorial.
I successfully installed HAN on my Super Slim Console and I also managed to convert and install BluRay games, however, I'm a bit confused about the DLC section!
You said that there are two types, one requires a RAP/RIF and the other doesn't! Could you please tell me how to know if my DLC needs a RAP file or not?

Hi guys. Great tutorial! The best one I've seen on the subject. A couple of quick questions: when I go to create that 2nd throwaway PSN account and activate it with my PS3 through Account Settings, do I also need to have my primary PSN account activated too? 2nd question: I'm using a crossover cable from my PC's Ethernet port to my PS3 so I can use my PC's faster Wifi compared to the slower native wifi of the PS3. I used that 3-step quick connect tutorial I found on this forum. Will that be adequate to use the PKG Linker program for much faster transfers of 4GB+ files from PC to PS3 or do I need to do additional configurations? What kind of transfer speeds can I expect using this type of connection? Thanks for any help.

A couple of comments: I think this is a great hack/exploit but it needs refinement, of course. It's a pain to only sometimes have success installing/enabling HAN with its clunky PS3 browser-based injections. Also, I'd like to see a feature that auto-starts Han when you log-into a certain account so we don't have to do it manually each time but until we get a fully reliable way to consistently install & enable Han this isn't the priority, I guess. I use PKG Linker 2.0 to sign and transfer packages and it seems to take good advantage of my ethernet port speeds. Works a treat. Good work, boys.

Host the xploit locally on a wired network and it will work everytime. Its not possible to autorun anything like that.

Try han Toolbox. That'll make han enabling much simpler and easier with best success rate

Alas, I'm on wifi connected to my landlord's access point/router downstairs. Sometimes my success rate in loading/enabling Han is higher if I delete the browser cache and and run it from a blank page but it's still quite inconsistent.
