well the latest update contains Firmware_4.90\Part3\UPL.xml with the following information:

<Build>68372,20221214</Build>

By the way, I got an interesting effect when assembling hfw if I replaced block 14 from 4.90 to 006 from 4.82, and block 22 from 4.90 to 14 from 4.90. Scripts are processed, but the firmware version cannot be determined

A tip try to find another block to fit block 22 because it is essential for the operation

I recently read something on Twitter saying HFW 4.90.1 is ready for release, they are just waiting for HEN 2.0 to release so they can do both at the same time instead of HFW releasing and then HEN not releasing for 2-3 weeks later like it was last May for 4.89.1

i posted earlier something like that. hen is not ready yet AFAIK. hfw and a flash writer are out. check the forum for new threads.

AFAIK, HAN hasn't been updated since 4.84 or 4.85. Apparently they felt it was pointless in updating it when 97% of HFW users prefer HEN instead of HAN. I agree that its simplicity made it great, however HEN is as simple as it gets nowadays. It's way easier to use than it was 4 years ago. And what I mean by hasn't been updated since 4.84 or 4.85 is that It has not been updated officially. There have been alternate developers to make it work since but it has also caused a lot of problems with consoles, especially on 4.87 and 4.88

HAN was updated to 4.89 thanks to @esc0rtd3w , and many previous versions, and it had no problems(except the ones that were present since the first release, and the ones that started in 4.89, the XMB ones)

not possible from official releases. A simple reinstall of firmware will fix a "softbrick" though. I think its just the way you worded that...i cant explain the need to reply lol

I wanted to install the 4.89 evilnat, so I launched the update of the console by internet to switch to OFW 4.89.

I didn't even pay attention to the version, BOOM 4.90, I'm stupid.

Any way to downgrade ?

You wait for the new HEN update.
Don't install unofficial builds/test versions unless you're a developer reporting issues.

hen 3.2.0 is only for 4.90 right now. there will be update soon.

if you stay on your current hfw version, then you can install new hen using only the "HEN Installer PKG" found under your hfw version on ps3xploit.me
