Tried it as well, it's saying exploit initialization failed! Intact I've tried it twice...please what do I do next coro, I haven't left my room since 9am, been fighting with this

Try to update to HFW 4.87.1 once again and retry the same steps.

I had to do the same, since in my case it wasn't reading the HFW-4.87.1. I noticed it after attempting it on another console.

make sure you installed HFW 4.87 pup file. if your ps3 updated firmware over the internet then you are on OFW (instead of HFW).

The firmware from official website is not exploitable. You must install HFW 4.87.1, it allows to install PS3HEN.

Copy HFW 4.87.1 to X:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP in a pendrive FAT32
Then go to PS3 recovery mode; install it from System Update option.

• Turn off your Playstation 3 (the red LED is still turned on).
• Hold the power button down, to completely turn off your console.
• Keep holding the power button down until you hear a beep followed by 2 consecutive beeps.
• You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB.
• Press the PS button and the Recovery menu will pop up.

After HFW is installed, you need to install HEN

Please help. I've installed PS3 HEN 4.87 successfully and run it once and it worked. But now everytime I boot PS3 and launch HEN it freezes! And I have to shut down the PS3!

Edit : Nevermind I have installed 4.87 HEN again and it's working now!

right so the new hybrid fw is out and installable, but the HEN that goes with it is not? right? What happens if you just install the new fw right now without the new HEN? You won't be able to enable HEN?

no, not that way. you need to make a new one.

use @lmn7's tool here. i am working an a guide but his instructions are good enough. here is hen 3.0 for 4.82.

if you can not figure it out, i can make one (maybe tommarow). let me know if you get it going or not...

you mean the Hen pkg or html that will not work?
what if i put older hen pkg for 4.82?
UPDATE:i tried this and it work on downloading HEN.p3t but it freeze after that.

i used the Alternative installer , but it freeze on "Preparing..." i thought i can install older hen for 4.82. i avoid updating because it seems blue ray not working i don't want to be stuck in loop.

and thanks for 3.0 hen pkg. i trird this , i let it download pt3 by changing to ='PS3HEN.pt3' but the initialize button is dissabled cannot click it after it download the bin(p3t) file.

i tried Rewrite flash html but i think i forgot how to do it with 2.2 hen


i am pretty sure that older Hen when there was Han was very easy to install offline because the code written was to downlaod hen pkg from source window that has index.html
