OPL (Open PS2 Loader)

PS2 Open PS2 Loader v1.1.0

there is some kind of bug with gsm on the latest betas... the picture shifts to the right when gsm is on, with v.1.1.0 it does not happen using the same settings

i'm just using NTSC mode in a couple games

does anyone know of an automatic way to push art files to internal hdd automatically ? something that scans what games are currently on there and downloads and transfers the files automatically all from within windows

If you have an official adapter with LAN, you can use the NBD-Server and connect the PS2 HDD over network as "internal HDD" with OPLM.

i managed to do it in the end sort of it wasnt as straight forward as i had hoped but its better than nothing so thanks (if anyone wonders whats wrong: had to use PFS Batchkit Manager and somehow some game sizes were reported as being 900+GB and OPLM didnt detect any of the already existing art or config files or cheat files or vmc, also it wasnt writing the art files to the hdd either probably wouldnt cht either didnt test, so i had to tell OPLM to write the art files to a folder then manually ftp them to the opl hdd partition on the hdd)

again am grateful that you pointed me in the right direction so thanks again

Hi! Bought PS2 Fat a month ago and was waiting for accessories, now I've got them all (HDD adapter, wireless gamepad dongle, HDMI out). So I'm happy to join proud ps2 homebrew community!

Googled for a guide how to make HDD bootable and found this one: FreeHDBoot Tutorial | ReviveToday

Everything is working, already checked few of my backup game images. But looks like the RAW HDD image i downloaded is packed with old software. So I'm going to install OPL 1.2 soon :)

For now I've got one question. In my menu i've got two OPLs

Open PS2 Loader 0.9.2
OPLGSM 0.9.2

Is there any reason why two versions of the same app exist in this setup?)

I also have these two apps:

GS Mode Selector v0.23x
GS Mode Selector v0.36

I also don't know why two different versions of the same app was added by author, but the question is - do i need them if GSM function is implemented in OPL 1.2?

Thanks for your time!

what is the latest version of OPL to use with MC2SIO adapter?
I'm really confused because the latest I've seen is v1.1.0 from 2021

Hi

Anyone have a tutorial to play PSX game on the last opl version, because the old i've used use VCD format...
Rename the elm.cfg to match the APPS-page's config name.

BDM4... It is linked in the first post.

If you have a DECKARD-PS2, you might as well just use the newest official OPL Beta build from GitHub.

Hi! First of all - absolutely in love with OPL, was initially using it with USB HDD, but got myself MX4SIO and using BDM4 build of OPL. However, I wanted to use my DualShock 3 (CECHZC2H A2) since it's pretty close to DualShock 2 and while it works perfectly via Bluetooth in game it only works wired when in OPL menu - both in latest beta and in BDM4. Why is that and is there any way to make it work via Bluetooth in OPL? I also have DualShock 4 and it works perfectly via Bluetooth both in game and in OPL, but using DS4 on PS2 just doesn't feel right.

I suppose you forgot to configure PADEMU.
I configured it - turned on DualShock3/4 BT mode, enabled both emulation and vibration for 1P, paired it to my BT dongle - again, it works perfectly via Bluetooth once I boot a game, but it only works via USB when in OPL menu. Tried to turn on and off workaround for fake DS3, but that did nothing (that's probably obvious since my DS3 isn't fake). Since I didn't mentioned it earlier, I'm using TP-Link UB400 for Bluetooth, and again - everything works perfectly with DualShock 4 in both OPL menu and in game, which tells me that I configured everything properly. I'll provide more info if needed. Thanks!

It might be a "Fake DS3"...
Could this be due to a modchip? I'm pretty sure that this DS3 isn't fake (bought it in a huge reputable store long time ago). I'll fiddle with modchip's settings tomorrow - maybe that'll help.

What really bugs me is why DS3 works flawlessly via Bluetooth in game and only work wired in OPL. Have only one clue right now - when I try to connect DS3 via Bluetooth while in OPL it blinks with all four LEDs and doesn't turn off over time - as if it constantly tries to connect and something doesn't work right - probably on OPL side? Could this mean that OPL's handling of DS3/4 a little bit different (probably even separated) from PADEMU?
