PS2 OPL/POPStarter vs. PS3 - game compatibility

You know which setting 'cause the Ps3 to block different region Ps1 games?

I can only assume...
When you switched PS3 from CEX to DEX all hell breaks loose...

I mean DEX consoles should have an ability to read backups and games from other regions.

I reverted back the Ps3 to CEX as soos as I changed the region. Also installed the OFW. I used the Ps3 for online playing there's nothing unofficial on it.

I don't have any NTSC Ps1 games for testing, I only have some NTSC Ps2 games.

PAL-Ps1-PSN games don't work though: "impossible to play this application with current video output mode"

PS1 emulation on the PS3 isn't problematic, and last time I checked that list on devwiki it literally had 100% compatibility from the games tested (besides TR1 and 2, but I have the classics version). I haven't had a single issue or problem with any game I have tried (50+). That being said, I am using an NTSC ps3 slim with NTSC games, all using bin/cue format via webMAN mod. Will you be using a PAL system and playing NTSC games or vice versa? I think that's where problems arise.

"From the games tested", that's the keyword. And even worse is the PS2 games that were not tested on OPL/PS3.

Maybe, because I can't find some PAL games and in that case I'd play NTSC games in my PAL TV. Anyway, why do you think that's where problems arise?
