Original PS3 Gameboot & Sounds [4.80 - 4.86 CFW ONLY]

PS3 Original PS3 Gameboot & Sounds [4.80 - 4.86 CFW ONLY] 1.01

:rolling::rolling::rolling: click bait lol.... you will just have to wait for that lol.

I like it booting on everything lol, I will have to make a special version or he might decide to try and murder my PS3's with knifes:rolling::rolling:
Its not like its really necessary "it its more than necessary",but it would be a great addition, to make a CFW based with the assets of older firmwares, such as Gameboot/Coldboot from the 1.XX/2.XX Era for more nostalgic users, while mantaining the Rebug features, its a plan that i had in my mind for ages, and that Black XMB Wave :D

Not that i despise the Gameboot, but after a while while booting PS2 or PS1 titles, gets a little out of control, and takes away the nostalgic feeling, because you know that wasnt how it worked back in 2006, so thats why i am asking if its possible to boot only with PS3 Titles, and the rest boots with a fading wave, thats would be more than dope :D:-p

While looking at the custom_render_plugin.xml... im reminding the real reason why the gameboot cant be seen in modern firmwares is just because the timings are ridicully small
But is still enabled and you can see it (only for few miliseconds, is superfast)

If you boot a game and keep attention at the screen you are going to see how the "sparks" from the wave animation does a "zoom in" animation, and increases his size (because moves closer to the screen in y axis if i remember right)

So the gameboot animation is still there, and we are playing it everytime we boot a game, i remember to be looking at it before. You just need to increase the timings :)

*And additionally play a bit with all the list of available animation sequences i posted before, most probably you are going to find some easter eggs :)
I never tryed all them but i know some of them exists but the official firmware doesnt uses them
So are either archaic rests of pre-retail firmwares.... or "bad ideas" (or awesome) that never was approved to enter in official firmware product line

Yep thats how it does it. whne you launch a game or app you get the image then it zooms towards you and so do the sparks and they appear out of focus as they are that close.

That wave is easy... all you do is replace all the wave background colours in the original wave with black so they don't change month by month or even if you change the background colour in the theme menu. The one I use is all blue, cannot stand it keep changing colours, I like it one colour lol.

I have one installed from the PS3 EXTRA Collection, as i dont want to mess with the lines.qrc, as its not my field of expertise, anyway, the wave its good, but it has a few issues that i am quite neat picky about it, the start-up glare, the Gameboot wave fade "which has a bit of a delay", and the light exposure within the wave, other than that looks ok for me :)

Does not need the patched sprx at all to trigger the gameboot, It can be triggered soley from the RCO for HAN and HEN users. So no need for RAM patches to be applied as it will work without HEN enbaled.

I have triggered it on HEN with just a moddified RCO file on HEN v2.3.1 with and without HEN enabled..... so there is no need for the patched SPRX on HEN, or CFW for that matter, it just easier to use the SPRX on CFW.

Have successfully triggered the gameboot on HEN without the SPRX file, sorry it's taken so long but I only put HEN on my super slim 2days ago.

Will be making a new resource for HEN users when am satisfied with the way it works. Does not require HEN to be enabled either so will work for anyone who still use's HAN.
:eek new:Wow, really? ... I thank you for working on this, at least you have made some progress, as much as it is without the audio, who would say it would be possible to enable this small mod to make it work on PS3's HEN (at least almost 100%:rolleyes new:) but that's good progress, maybe you can find a way to enable audio, or leave it anyway, until you find a way to make audio work.:D

:pride:Man this wave is beautiful (I particularly like it) I wish I could use it.:rapture:

You can, lines.qrc files don't need anything special to be able to run modded ones on HEN, you could even do it on HAN.

Yes it will work with or without HEN enabled, its just the audio to figure out. Though am not sure it can be done without the sprx file. But I have only been at it for 2 days as I have only had HEN on my SuperSlim for 2 days.

Just give up now..please. :D

Not a chance...defo not when someone tells me to ... lmao.

I was trying to recreate the look of XMB as in firmware 1xx and 2xx, the most I could get was: remove the clock bar (leaving only the date and time), changed the PSN logo, replaced by the old blue, remove the saved data (PS2), (PSP) and PSvita (leaving only three, memory card, saved data utility (PS3) and data utility) also removed the PlayStation®Store from the game tab. But what is missing: Gameboot (since my console is HEN, unfortunately it is not possible to use it at the moment, but it is almost there), the black wave and the color wave (but without sparkles and that does not change color according to the month), the loading icon (like a drop of water) is missing next to the date and time, which appears and disappears ... recreate with good resolution the SCE Coldboot and the "Information Board", I also downloaded the "Life with PlayStation®" APP just to add it on the Network tab. All this just to relive the good old XMB again and feel a good nostalgia. It would be nice if we could do something like that, but this is not very important for some dev's, but for the most nostalgic users it would be gold. But as I am a HEN PS3 user, I think 65% of all this would be possible.

Nice, as long as the files as CFW Compatible I could test them (if you don't mind), as i own mainly CFW Machines,as long it doesn't brick the system, i am ok with testing [emoji23]

Some has just released my gameboots for HEN without sound so you could use them for now till I figure out if the sound is going to work, I doubt it though... They are in the resources section under Gameboots for HEN title..

I just tested the Gameboot you created for HEN, I thought it was cool, the logo got a great resolution, but the animation is not the same as the original Gameboot, but thanks for your effort. :)

:beguiled:Obviously they are compatible with PS3 CFW, PS3 CFW accepts everything :uncomfortableness::pride:. :joyous:Would not bother me you would use, but the only problem is that I lost some of these files, because my brother formatted the PC without telling me anything, so I could not make a backup of some of these files :(.... I will have to do them again :ambivalence::moon:

I didn't do them one's lol, the person who posted the resource did.... not that I mind in the slightest..

How is the animation different on these, I have not looked at them?
Well, as I can explain ... hmmm .... it's like the ones we created for use in HAN for example without animation and it disappears ... by the way, what you're really working on, the animation is the same of the original gameboot?

So its just static and doesn't zoom towards you?
