does this also work with installing PSN games? you know how they're installed to hdd0/game and you want to install to hdd0/GAMES for example.
Yes as the thread titled it install to any path but why the need of creating pkgs to install games in JB Format [PS3_GAME] ????

Just :
  1. Copy them to GAMES folder in root of FAT32 MBR USB Drive
  2. Plug your USB in multiman
  3. Highlight on your game you want to copy
  4. Press Triangle button then copy

It will install the files to that location or any location you want, but it will not make a PSN game work from dev_hdd0/GAMES/. You still need to patch it to make it work with software like PSN Liberator..

He's not talking about JB games, he wants to run PSN games from dev_hdd0/GAMES/.

Hey guys, this tool is EXACTLY what I have been looking for to make my mod easier to install on PS3 systems. However, there seems to be a small bug. Anytime there are closed brackets "[ ]" in the directory name, it causes the tool to generate an empty PKG.

This is problematic because when dumping games from multiman, the default installation location is dev_hdd0/GAMES/Serial-[Game Title]/. For example, if I wanted to make a package that installs mod data for BLUS31159, I would want it to install to dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLUS31159-[NCAA Football 14]/. However this is not currently possible due to this bug.

I know users could just rename their folder, but I'm trying to make this as simple and fool-proof as possible. Is there any workaround for this at all? I've even tried going through PS3 devwiki and using make_package_npdrm from the PS3 SDK but that has a list of other issues. If you have any fix (even if it's something after the fact like modifying the directory name in a hex editor or something) PLEASE let me know.

Thanks a ton in advance

Wanted to add that this bug only happens with the specific brackets that multiman uses "[ ]". The issue doe NOT occur with curly brackets or parentheses
