PS2 Playstation2 smb speed test

Hello. I need to do ps2 speed tests (preferably smb). Found project Playstation2 read/write speed test (file io) on github, but I can't compile it. Tried on ps2toolchain and installed ps2sdk on linux. Nothing works. if anyone can help, I'll be grateful. Maybe there are already utilities for testing SMB speed?

Thank you. I'm have the latest OPL (also tested with 1.0.0) and using SMB with a HDD connected to a router and only getting 2.1mb/s in test. That's a direct connection not through network. When downloading an ISO from the HDD over LAN I'm getting a stable 6-7mb/s. Is it normal for OPL to have this speed limit? First I thought it would be becase of the smaller file size you read in the test (around 5MB) but still a significant speed loss.

The IOP has more to do in-game, than in a dedicated app for transfers which does NOT use a HEAVY protocol like SMB to begin with.

OK. What's the read speed limit for SMB in OPL? I got 2.1mb/s and user rve got 2.5mb/s so I guess it's around there?
