PS2 PMAP Help! CD DETECT ADJUSTMENT TO EEPROM ERROR. What is this?

Does anyone know what this error is?
"0c9700 CD DETECT ADJUSTMENT TO EEPROM WR - Rx-command error: 1"

This is the error I get when I try to calibrate a laser for the Automatic Elect Adjustment for the CD portion of the adjustment. I've tried 5 lasers , updated EEPROM -- and still get this error. It seems the drive doesn't even attempt to initiate the CD even.

And what happened to this site?All of a sudden I can only post in this portion of the forum and Ive been a member for months and previously posted a thread in the normal sections no problem.

Fixed: I'm not sure how I fixed the issue but when I took apart PMAP , resoldered it then restored EEPROM to its original configuration , everything worked. However simply restoring the EEPROM didn't work before... So I'm not sure exactly what happened but [reassembling + restoring EEPROM] worked for me
