Does this work with a Fast PS2 internal HDD (connected to laptop), or is this just for USB drives?
My pendrive is 64gb, it is in exfat. I cant format to fat32, i dont know why. I'm using Windows 10.Does POPStarter support ExFAT? No.......
If it doesn't, then the rest of your questions are redundant.
I don't recall if the public version supports VCD. If it does not, just convert them one by one from the CUE again or convert the VCD to CUE and then to VCD if you already lost the image.@HWNJ Is there a way to import the already dumped VCD games from El_isra's POPS-VCD-Manager to your tool?
The other app doesn't create any game list config for apps.
Use rufus to format it.@HWNJ

Hello GentlemanSpeak now or forever hold your peace!
I have received a lot of DMs and public messages of people complaining about the names of the files on "POPStarter Game Installer for OPL" as well as complainings regarding there's no easy way to delete the already installed games.
"POPStarter Game Installer for OPL" was made in a rush just to help, trying to provide an easy way to add your POPS games to the APPS page on OPL. Honestly, I just took the "Install Game" code from my "PSXtreme Game Installer" and then added this to the code:
Then I deleted most of the other functions "PSXtreme Game Installer" has (interestingly for some, I didn't deleted almost any assets, so they are still on the release files).Code:if File.DoesExist(devicedrive.."conf_apps.cfg") then TextFile.WriteFromString(devicedrive.."conf_apps.cfg", ElBrincador..JuegoNombre.."="..NuevoELFPonerAlt, true); else TextFile.WriteFromString(devicedrive.."conf_apps.cfg", JuegoNombre.."="..NuevoELFPonerAlt, true); end
So, since people wants an easy way to remove their games, I will need to add the listbox and some of the game management code back again from PSXtremeG.I. and do some changes for it to edit the conf_apps.cfg instead of the PSXtreme index files as well as adding an extra "INFO" file on the paths for some values and settings.
After that, I will bring back some management functions from PSXtremeG.I. and these will be:
- Edit game's settings
- Share VMCs
- Multi-discs setup
- Edit cheats
- Art management
- Decompress ECM files (from PSXtreme Toolbox)
- Multi-Track joiner (from PSXtreme Toolbox)
- Download art / fixes / trojan (from PSXtreme Toolbox)
I will certainly not bring back:
- PSXtreme's settings and listing related functions
- Multi-language support (since I will need to edit a lot and that takes a lot of time)
So, here and now I ask you all:
Is there any other function (from PSXtremeG.I. or brand new) that you want me to add to POPStarter Game Installer for OPL?
kind of a longshot but does anyone have another copy of the batch downloader for the artwork? like a mirror for the artwork
i add the links to my IDM but it says filetype error on a good chunk of them so wont let me download
also a quick heads up not sure if there is some kinda workaround or something for this but after using the tool I tried using opl manager to download the artwork figured it would work and im not sure if it changes some things but after using opl manager ps1 games on a usb no longer show up under apps on opl and I notice in opl manager detects them as ps1 games not apps so maybe thats why? but im not sure however it is the latest opl from the github and before using opl manager the games do appear in opl fine but after using the manager the games disappear so not sure if it recategorizes them from app to ps1 game thus not showing or what but they do show in opl manager just not opl itself
