PS2 POPStarter vs. PS2PSXe vs. DKWDRV

What about you both getting a timeout, if you continue spamming the forums? You are both good at it.

The question has been answered or not?

You are a moderator, right?
If facilitating the task that corresponds to you is a reason for "censorship" do what you have to do.

DKWDRV does not support (so far):
  • XA\CDDA sound effects. It is noticeable in most Full Motion Videos or in background music.
  • Disc swapping
  • It is recommended that games should be defragmented. A game can crash anytime without it.
  • Virtual memory cards (VMCs)
  • USB support is only for SCPH-750XX or higher consoles
On the other hand DKWDRV has got good performance, and it is getting better and better after each revision.

POPstarter does not have the ideal compatibility or performance:

There is only ONE thread with fixes for it where you have to pay (for the recent fixes) to get them.
If you want you can search for: "POPStarter Game Fix Codes - Forum" to find other fixes.
Additionally read the compatibility lists to turn on or select the right mode to get a game to work.

It has:
  • USB\SMB\HDD support for all consoles
  • Disc swapping
  • XA\CDDA
  • VMC
  • Games do not need to be defragmented

PS2PSXe has got the worst compatibility.
Support for it has been dropped long ago.
I only remember that I tried it without much of a luck.
For me it is just a curiosity.
