PS1 Problem getting Gran Turismo 2 to work on Tonyhax

I have burned several copies, from several sources, on several brand discs, at several different speeds, with different softwares. They all WORK… the game starts, but on every copy, will freeze right after the trademarks/copyrights screen and never make it to the main title.

I tried Alcohol 120% on Raw mode, and IMGBurn.

this was on a PS1 5501 console using the tonyhax memory card exploit.

Any ideas?
