PS3 Problem installing HFW

Oh your good man. I'm sorry I misunderstood you. Even if the drive doesn't take a disc you can still install a No-BD firmware just fine. If you didn't get a boot loop from installing the HFW this time them your good. You won't have a working drive but it's not needed with a No-BD firmware and Cobra. Heck if it doesn't get stuck in a boot loop and cam still run apps etc you don't even need a No-BD firmware. The daughter board is working fine and that's all you need working. The drive itself doesn't have to be operational. I'm sorry I was misunderstanding you. And I'm always glad to help out a fellow gamer.

thanks by the way when I took it apart for check all cables to see is everything was set one of the small blue taps on the ribbon cable of the DB unit was gone on one end I end swaping the end that was still whit that small blue tap I put that one on the slot that is on the DB unit and the other one that lack it on the one heading toward the mother board and securely fit it using non conductive tape for prevent it snap off the motherboard

You should be all set man just use the guides here. If it took the HFW then you will be able to install a CFW just fine now. I bet replacing that cable might just get your drive working fully again.

I will try after doing a second HFW install to see it install whidouht error again after setting all cables properly I noticed that the reset/power button no longer work but the bluetoth module seen fine. Well that is better than having a infinite update boot loop since it installed fine this second time

last update on the ps3 status I managed to install rebug 4.84 rex normal edition no the NoBD one since the logic board is still funcional despice the little issue of the disk drive no taking any disk in thanks everybody for the assistance also tested some backup and they play fine
