PS3 Project RSX Boost: Overclock your Retail PS3 RSX Speeds (ps3 cfw only)

I have a bad feeling. PS3s are pretty sensitive. But hope this goes well. Where are you trying to get a RSx from?
Thinking about 65nm from DIA Mainboard for the first try. Having a lot of donor boards with good rsx's. Dont want to waste a 40nm because im pretty sure this is not going well at first try.

Those are called T12 spade tips but they are only compatible with T12 soldering irons.
Thanks bro!

Learned how to do this myself using RIPFelix's guide. May try to pick up a cheap 2101a that includes some games and controllers on ebay and try to send it as high as I can. Ive got a few made up on Evilnat 4.91.2 Beta 17 Pex from 600/750 to 700/850 but can't post links because im a new user.

just post more. it's a community after all.

What would be a "safe" OC for a 40nm RSX ? Something like 700/850 ? I already have the latest CFW at 600/750 but I'm looking to push a bit more...

Also, what is more beneficial for performance, OC the core or the Memory ?

Hey everybody, i hope all of u had a merry christmas.

i was continouing on my bga soldering and im feeling a bit like a fool.
I thought about trying to reball a syscon chip as i dont waste so much solderballs when it fails. And there ive been confronted with the next problem: my solderballs are not going to attach.. there are 3-6 balls attached, if im lucky. All other ones can be wiped off.

This is by far the most ridicoulus thing.
Ive even set my hot air to 480C and let it sizzle for at least 20mins.. grrr
I knew it would be a bad idea to mess with bga soldering.. but why arent these attaching? That couldnt be the big deal
There is no other struggle, i can perfectly align them and everything goes fine, i'd say it goes too easy. But that one thing aint just working. Its impossible.

There is technically no safe point, the lowest encountered 40nm was 650/800.

Olá, alguém poderia fazer 850/975 CEX da versão final do CFW Evilnat? Infelizmente, não tenho um PC. Agradeço antecipadamente e boas festas, amigos!
