so i have an old PS1 that i want to fix since it used to work.
it stopped turning on but after removing the PSU, not seeing anything VISIBLY wrong, put it back and the light turned on.
but the disc drive didnt spin and it had no video output (bought a new av cable since i lost mine).
i tried searching on the internet but couldnt find anything really useful apart from: check some capacitors that might be busted. reflow the cpu since the solder is old. i could just send to someone for repair but i want to try doing it myself since i want to learn how to fix stuff, i got a multimeter to try seeing if could do anything but i have no idea what to look for.
if it matters im just using some random cable to connect from the ps1 to the outlet, since the ps1 has a PSU already built in i dont think it would matter but maybe it does.
