PS3 ps1_emu & ps1_netemu questions/observations

Some games work better with ps1_netemu, while other games work better with ps1_emu.

To pic always ps1_netemu for specific games include the tag [netemu] in the file name.

Is there a similar method to force ps1_emu for specific files?

I ask this as I have the default via wmM setup set to load netemu, but one game in particular won't go past a cutscene on netemu, but will on emu.

Use one of these combos while the game is mounted: L2 = ps1_emu, R2 = ps1_netemu, R1 = toggle ps1_emu / ps1_netemu

Is there anything that can be done to specific files e.g. put [emu] instead of [netemu] in the filename? BTW I tried [emu] in the filename before my previous post so I know that specific option doesn't work , but interested if there's anything similar. The vast majority of the time it'll be the kids loading this game.

Currently only [netemu] is checked in the path, due the default emulator is ps1_emu.

You can uncheck the setting "ps1_netemu" in /setup.ps3 and put in the tag "[netemu]" in the file name or folder for all the PS1 games that you want to play with ps1_netemu.

As an alternative I've also tried converting to pkg with pop-fe-ps3. The game worked, even when 'ps1_netemu' when checked in setup.ps3.

I am yet to locate a definitive answer, but would using the pkg method this way work because it ALWAYS uses 'ps1_emu'? Or am I off the mark...
