PS2 PS2 Slim with OPL 1.1.0: Using the Eye Toy Cam

Remember that I mentioned you should create the shared folder on your PC's hard drive, not an external drive. That could be another option to try.

Edit:
Hey friend, I've been testing and I've got the solution.
The first thing I noticed is that OPL Server definitely doesn't work with an external hard drive or memory stick.
So if you try to access an external device from your PS2, you'll get error 303.
The second thing I noticed is that OPL Server creates a folder called PS2 in the root directory of the folder that contains it.
This means OPL Server will only work if you have this folder called "PS2" in the OPL configuration for the share name.
So if you want to share a folder on your computer called "PS2SMB", you have to select it in OPL Server, so it looks like this:
Share Folder: C:\PS2SMB
But the share name in the OPL configuration is, and always will be, "PS2".
And the puzzle is solved.

…. Since I don't really like my daughter to enter/use my pc, it would be better to go back to the old project looking for/buying only one router to cascade to the existing one and connect the external disk to it....

As I mentioned before, the SMB v1.0 protocol is already obsolete; the chances of finding one with version 1.0 are dwindling every day.
If you have important documents, it's best not to give your daughter administrator privileges and instead create a standard user account for her. Create an OPL Server shortcut that saves the administrator password, and everyone will be happy.:bandicoot:

But I can no longer use the external usb disk....right? Or I use it for all normal games while when I have to use Eyetoy I connect to the pc…..

…. Or I fix the old pc (I have to redo the win 10 installation) and insert the external disk inside (hoping to be able to extract it from the case)…that pc could be used by my daughter

What you decide to do from here on out is entirely up to you, my friend.
The final part of our objective is not yet complete.
And that is:
To verify that the EyeToy works using this game loading method.

Surely I have to figure out what to do. But since opl does not accept external disks, the only thing that came to mind is to use the other pc where I can insert the hdd

I didn't explain myself well; what I mean is that OPL Server doesn't work with external drives.

So you need to create your shared folder on your PC's hard drive.

So the folder with the games must necessarily reside in the c:/ disk where Windows is installed? Can't get a second internal hard drive? Do you also consider this as if it were the usb disk?

It's your turn to do the tests.

I don't understand this question, but if you're referring to what you said you were planning to do (removing the casing), then it's at your own risk.

What I'm saying is that OPL Server works as long as you don't try to share a folder from a USB port.
